“We recently cared for a patient coming to us from a ban state who was in the second trimester of the pregnancy. They work full-time for minimum wage during the summer, while their family struggles financially, and receives public assistance. They will enter their last year of high school in a couple months. They weren’t able to share the pregnancy with their immediate family due to fear of being kicked out of their home, but were able to tell a grandparent who helped them travel here.

With help from Red Tent Fund, this patient was able to access the abortion care they needed, while making sure they didn’t need to delay their care further due to cost.”

🌿 As Sukkot comes to a close, we remember that the Torah commands us to rejoice—and to ensure that everyone can share in that joy.

But we cannot truly rejoice when our dignity, health, or freedom is denied. At Red Tent Fund, we affirm abortion as a Jewish value — rooted in compassion, dignity, and the right to choose. Reproductive freedom is essential to building a world where all people live fully.

Today marks two years since October 7th. We continue to hold space for grief, loss, and resilience. As a Jewish organization and part of a grieving community, we honor the lives taken that day and hold space for all those still carrying this pain. May their memories be a blessing.
