On this day, in 1973, Roe was decided. While there are countless reasons it was still difficult to have an abortion under Roe, it established a legal baseline for abortion access in the U.S.

Today, in a post-Roe world, abortion access is not guaranteed—but we’re fighting harder than ever to make it real for everyone who needs it.

Meet our newest , Ariel Amaru! ✨

Ariel is a Senior Facilitator and Coach at Project Shema, supporting communities in navigating complex conversations around identity, belonging, and antisemitism with compassion and clarity.

She previously served as State Policy Manager at the National Women’s Law Center and has extensive experience in gender justice, healthcare law, and grassroots organizing for abortion access.

We’re thrilled to have Ariel on our board!

🕎 Tonight: The eighth and final candle of Hanukkah + only 9 days left in 2025.

Eight nights of spreading light. Eight nights of choosing hope over despair. Eight nights of refusing to accept that reproductive access should be rare or impossible.

Thanks to 15 peer fundraisers and 83 direct donors, we've raised almost $8,000 this Hanukkah - funding abortion care for patients traveling from all over the country.

• Owning a cat
• Needing glasses
• Living alone
• Drinking coffee daily

Yet, abortion is still treated Iike it’s rare or taboo. Talking about it helps reduce stigma. 💜
