ACS CAN is the nation's leading cancer advocacy organization that is working everyday to make cancer a national priority. Company Overview
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the non-profit, non-partisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society. ACS CAN is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major public health problem through voter education and issue campaigns aimed at influencing candidates and lawmakers to support laws and policies that will help people fight cancer. Many of the most important health care decisions about cancer are made by your state legislature, in Congress and in the White House. ACS CAN empowers regular people to be part of the growing national movement that is fighting back against cancer. Texas ACS CAN is working for a healthier Texas by advocating on a variety of issues, including:

• Smoke-Free Texas
• The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT)
• Tobacco cessation and prevention programs
• Cancer screening requirements for health insurance
• Breast and cervical cancer screening access for at-risk women in Texas
• Obesity, nutrition and physical activity in schools
