As the Collective Health Initiative (C.H.I.) continues to embody the principle of “Giving You Your Flowers While You’re Still Alive,” we proudly acknowledge and honor Dr. Kokayi Patterson, affectionately known as the “Hood Doctah.”

Our Self‑Healing Symposium is dedicated to him. His lifelong commitment to natural and wholistic health education—along with his founding of the African Wholistic Health Association (AWHA)—has inspired generations, including the creation of C.H.I. itself. We honor him as the elder whose work made space for our own.

This gathering brings together powerful Self‑Healing Practitioners whose lived experiences and expertise reflect the very principles Dr. Kokayi has championed. Their stories remind us that self‑healing is not just a practice—it is a reclamation of agency, a return to balance, and a pathway to collective wellbeing.

All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to Dr. Kokayi Patterson, in honor of his service and in support of his continued healing and wellbeing.
