I send my sincere love and condolences to all family and extended family connected with and blessed by Baba Dr. Rahsan Abdul-Hakim of Sundial Herbal Products, who recently made his transition to the ancestral realm.

Baba Rahsan, a well-respected and well renown Maroon "Bush Doctor" in the NYC community and beyond, is who I consider my first real teacher about wholistic wellness and herbal medicine. Working under him, learning from him, and being blessed to witness his healing works for appx. 8 years is what influenced and enabled me in a large way to offer what I offer today. I truly can't express enough how valuable his shared knowledge, wisdom, humanitarianism, healing perspectives, life philosophies, trust in me, assignments, and even occasional scoldings with love 😁 have been to me and my journey. He was truly a father figure for me, and gave me some of my greatest experiences that continue to carry me to this day and beyond.

Thank you, Baba Rahsan, and know that we will continue to keep your name and legacy shining by continuing to assist our people.

I had a dream a few nights ago, in which I was looking for herbs to help someone who had trouble breathing. I woke up and made some of my "Fresh Air" tea blend for myself as a proactive measure to ensure that I'm fortifying the energy for my lungs.

Surely enough, I've been hearing people around coughing more than usual, and I just heard a report that RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) cases have been on the increase recently. With the holiday season, it's expected that respiratory and metabolic issues tend to rise.

My "I-M-Unity 2 (Seasonal Support)" herbal tea blend is good to have on hand at times like these, to keep the immune activity on point.

The "I-M-Unity 1 (Super Respiratory Support)" herbal tea blend is also good to have in case something needs to be fought off in real time, as it helps to warm the respiratory tract, attack harmful germs, and expel phlegm.

All of these are available via my website, yew360.com

Are you familiar with Noni?
This tropical fruit has a host of potential health benefits, including the promotion of immune strength, cellular oxygenation, nervous system health, blood pressure regulation, and inflammation reduction.

The fruit is often fermented and juiced, or made into a powder that can be added to beverages.
Wild/organic Noni powder, along with many other wellness supporting herbs, is available via yew360.com

I'll be out in Richmond, VA this Saturday, November 15th from 12 noon - 4 pm with my brotha, Solo Sana, sharing traditional Malian drumming, dancing, and culture workshops. I'll also have a few herbal products that can be useful for alleviating inflammation, for improving energy, and some pure therapeutic-grade essential oils! Come thru if you're in the area. Thank you to Elegba Folklore Society and Ezibu Muntu for hosting us! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

✨Umoja: Two Paths, One Purpose ✨

As we prepare for Kwanzaa 2025, we set the tone with the first and most powerful principle — Umoja (Unity). In this spirit of connection and collective healing, Ezibu Muntu and the Elegba Folklore Society come together to honor our shared purpose through drum, dance, and culture.

On November 15th, we gather to celebrate “The Power of We.” This collaboration isn’t just an event — it’s a homecoming, a bridge, and a living example of what unity looks like in motion. Together, we prepare our community for Kwanzaa by embodying its principles now — rooted in intention, guided by spirit, and lifted by tradition and togetherness. ❤️🖤💚

Featuring Souleymane Solo Sana & Docta Yew!
Join us for a day of shared experiences and vibrant connection. The celebration begins with a soul-stirring drum workshop led by Docta Yew, awakening rhythm and spirit. Next, Souleymane Solo Sana will guide us through a cultural lesson, offering wisdom and stories that bridge generations. We’ll close the day in motion with a dance class that embodies our unity, our joy, and the heartbeat of tradition.

Big up to my brotha and Afrikan-Centered Psychologist, Dr. Obari Cartman, who was in town this past weekend to present at the Boris Henson Foundation's mental health conference. He gave an excellent presentation/demo on using African Drumming & HipHop as a cultural therapeutic approach to mental health, and he stopped by Ni Dembaya African Drum & Dance Ensemble's drum class to rock with us for a bit, and gifted a few of us some copies of his book!

Unfortunately, it escaped me to get a picture with him in real time before he left, but I can show the book for now. Hit him up to get you a copy!

Always glad to support my people doing awesome work out here when I can.
