Fair housing starts with understanding. Know the protections under the Fair Housing Act and your local/state regulations.

✔️ Protected classes
✔️ Prohibited practices
✔️ Reasonable accommodations & modifications

Compliance isn’t optional—it’s your foundation.

2. Create Consistent Processes
Treat every applicant, resident, and client the same.

✔️ Standardized screening criteria
✔️ Written policies & procedures
✔️ Documented communication
Consistency protects both people and your business.

3. Watch Your Words (Yes, Marketing Too)
What you say and how you say it matters.

✔️ Avoid discriminatory language in ads (“perfect for singles,” “no kids,” etc.)
✔️ Use inclusive, neutral descriptions
