This is the exact saffron we use in our Umi Saffron extract - 100% stigma saffron, crafted from Super Negin and Sargol threads only.

Herat’s soil is remarkably clean and consistently tests low in heavy metals, which is one of the reasons this saffron is so prized. Founded by Mohamed Salehi, Heray Spice is at the forefront of protecting saffron integrity, ensuring what reaches our customer is real, traceable, and uncompromised.

Based in Chicago, Heray Spice works directly with an Afghan farmer cooperative now supporting 302 members, paying fair wages and preserving ancestral growing methods.

The flowers are never sprayed and cultivated without pesticides, chemicals, artificial colors, or harmful practices. Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO certified, and fully traceable from farm to jar.
