Today, we presented Daviess County Hospital (DCH) with the second grant installment supporting the Perinatal Pathways Program. Earlier this year, United Way of Daviess County invested $29,740 to help reduce infant mortality and promote healthier pregnancies for families enrolled in Medicaid, ALICE households, and members of the Amish community. This funding continues to support families across Daviess County.

Healthcare professionals caring for infants and children are invited to attend an American Heart Association PALS recertification class at Daviess Community Hospital on Friday, January 23, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This one-day course reinforces critical skills for recognizing and responding to pediatric emergencies, including respiratory failure, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest. Led according to AHA guidelines, the training supports confident, team-based care in high-stakes situations.

Classes are open to physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
