Jean Marie NY Life coach in NY, empowering your growth and success through personalized, honest support. What is your truth? jeanmarieny.com

I am an Emmy-nominated, award-winning creative executive who has balanced the majority of my career life between the entertainment world and working with C-Suite executives in the financial world. As a multi-passionate, multi-hyphenate professional, I’m known for looking at challenges from a different perspective and giving it to you straight. With over 20 years experience in storytelling, I’ll gladly support you in crafting your new narrative. As a hopeful dreamer optimist who lives stooped in reality and fact, I’ll work with you to explore the possibilities of what might be your next best step. I will tell you the truth and challenge you to do the same for yourself. Throughout my career I have been a community builder and team leader and will challenge you to bring new perspectives to your team. Similarly, we can explore how you might garner new perspectives from your team and yourself in order to improve everyone’s results. AND THEN, THERE'S THE OTHER SIDE...

While studying puppetry at the University of Connecticut Jean Marie discovered a love for hats and feathers. After years of apprenticeships under couture milliners and completing her studies at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology, Jean Marie has stepped out on her own to offer her original creations at reasonable prices. Her cocktail hats, bridal wear and feather work can be found in many of New York City’s downtown shops and boutiques. With the advent of Covid-19 in the states, Jean Marie expanded her offerings to include face masks, scrunchies and doggie bandanas. 50% of all face masks made are donated to essential workers and people in need. Her work is not limited to millinery though; Jean Marie also works as a Producer, Builder and Performer of puppetry in theater, tv, commercials and motion pictures. “A core pillar of the National Puppetry Conference is that every artist has a unique voice, and that the role of training and mentorship is not to shape that voice into something familiar, but to help it emerge with clarity, confidence, and intention. We are deeply invested in supporting artists who endeavor to discover what they want to say and why the puppet is the right vessel to say it.

Through the presence of all of our guest artists, mentors and staff, (don’t miss this lineup - it’s awe inspiring) participating artists are encouraged to listen closely to their own impulses, take their passions seriously, and develop work that has something at stake. The focus is not simply on how to use puppets, but on when and why—on making deliberate choices that align form with content.

The 2026 season is an invitation to slow down, look closely, and trust the visual language of puppetry!”
- Jean Marie Keevins, Artistic Producer of the National Puppetry Conference

Life is short and there’s so much to do in it.
So here’s 3 simple tips for making space 👇
1. If someone keeps cancelling, push your follow up date to double or triple what you’re thinking it should be. If they don’t get back to you first, you’ll have time to decide how it important it is to connect with them.
2. There’s a saying that, “When we make plans, God laughs.” Laugh along.
3. Some things have to be done in a certain order. Others do not. Stop treating them with the same sense of urgency.
Go for a walk.

Start your day healthfully.
Take action.
Do your job.
Have fun.
Excuse. Legitimate excuse. Excuse. Now try again.
Call a friend. Make a friend. Call that friend.
You’ve got this.

I’ve noticed more people reaching out more lately.
Others are receding.
I get it. You likely do to.
We need each other.
Just a gentle reminder.

we all struggle sometimes

but we don’t have to go through tough times alone

this shows how important it is to trust and lean on others when times get scary

we all take turns being strong and needing support, and that’s okay

it’s okay to not be okay.

it’s okay to ask for help.

it’s good to do life together

when we support each other, we can all make it through the most difficult times

you are loved ❤️

So many people we know are grieving today. Including me.
Some are grieving new losses. Some old. Some expected. Some not. Losses within their control and losses outside of their control.
Grief is an essential part of life. It’s not non-linear and it’s unpredictable.
In these times, we must say what we need to say. Please, be kind to yourself and others and do your best to monitor where grief is having an effect on your actions towards others.
Take your time.
While change has occurred, you remain a miracle.

Feeling this.
🚉 The Train Station Theory.
Life is like a train station.
People come and go.
Some stay for a few stops.
Some ride with you for miles.
Some leave before you’re ready to say goodbye.
But every person teaches you something—
even if they’re not meant to stay forever.
The key is knowing when to hold on,
and when to let them catch their next train.
Because not everyone is on the same journey—
and that’s okay.

I love this so much.
Fear comes up all of the time.
It’s how we learn to use that matters.

This morning I was mediating on my friendships. I am blessed to have many friends that I can count on. Some of them know each other. Others do not. All of them would should up just like this if it’s what I needed. I would do the same for them. Sometimes true friendships require you to move out of your comfort zone for the good of the group. (Good thing I’m completely comfortable with being silly.)
Where in your life might show up with a bit less tension and a whole lot more joy?

THIS RIGHT HERE.
When fear shows up, doesn’t run from it, she writes it down. 💭

She names what she’s feeling, circles the deepest ones, and then transforms those fears into prayers. ✨ “May I remember that I am worthy of belonging and connection.”

This practice is more than reflection, it’s transformation.
You’ll walk away from this conversation with:
💬 A way to turn anxiety into intention
🌱 Language to meet yourself with compassion
💛 A reminder that you can rewrite your fears into faith

Ever feel like you’ve hit a wall?
I just did. And instead of spinning my wheels, I made the choice to pick up the phone and ask for help.
👉 Sometimes confidence looks like admitting you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
If you’re sitting at your own roadblock — in leadership, decision-making, or life — DM me. Let’s talk about what’s really holding you back and what support could unlock for you.
