Over the years, we’ve rolled out everything from full 30-day Planksgiving challenges to two-week blitzes, and we’ve built quite a collection of workouts, tips, and laughs along the way.

So about Planksgiving… As November arrives, many of you have been asking: “Are we doing Planksgiving at the studio this year?”

This time, I’m handing the reins to you. Instead of an in-studio challenge, I’m giving you everything you need to create your own. Here’s how it works:

👯‍♂️ Find a buddy: a family member, a friend, a co-worker
💬 Start a text group: decide if you’re aiming for a 2-minute or 4-minute hold
✅ Make a plan for accountability: share your progress, cheer each other on, and keep it fun

The beauty of Planksgiving is that it’s simple, effective, and builds both strength and connection. Whether you’re side by side or miles apart, you’ll be surprised how much more motivated you feel when you know someone else is holding that plank with you.

So grab your group, set your goals, and let me know how it goes—I can’t wait to hear your Planksgiving stories this year.

Thinking about my energy… As the season shifts, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to protect our energy. The days get shorter, schedules get fuller, and it’s easy to feel pulled in every direction.

I tend to get SUPER tired this time of year as the days get shorter… Personally, it feels like such a bummer when life feels like it’s: wake up, work, eat dinner, sleep… so I signed up for an art sketchbook class—something I’ve never done. Truthfully, I don’t think of myself as someone who can draw or paint. But I’m not looking at it through the lens of being “good” at it. Instead, I’m seeing it as an opportunity to be creative, to slow down, and to protect my energy in a way that feels, well, lively.

Protecting our energy doesn’t have to mean big changes. It might be choosing to step outside for a walk before dinner, leaving your phone in another room for an hour, or saying no to something that drains you. It’s about making small choices that help us feel more grounded as the pace of life picks up.

This month we’re shining a spotlight on the Watertown Business Coalition! 🌟

Jan has been part of the WBC since 2019 and over the years has connected with so many incredible local business owners. The WBC, as we affectionately call it, even co-hosted our event at the studio on September 19th. It’s been such a rewarding way to build community, support fellow entrepreneurs, and celebrate all the amazing businesses in Watertown.

It’s that time of year—Halloween candy seems to call from every corner. And while I’m the first to say enjoy the treat you really want, I also love finding fun alternatives that satisfy my sweet tooth and sneak in a little extra nutrition.

This week I stumbled on a new site packed with recipes and found these Pumpkin Brownies by ! Want the link to recipe? Send me a DM or drop a comment below.

One bowl, simple ingredients, and even I could handle it. They’ve got the rich chocolatey flavor you expect from a brownie, but with the bonus of pumpkin—bringing fiber, vitamins, and all the fall vibes.

I like finding simple swaps like this—it’s a way to enjoy something sweet while also getting a little extra goodness. And truthfully, having a pan of these around might be just what keeps me from dipping into the candy bowl before Halloween night.

Give them a try and let me know if they make it into your fall rotation—I’m pretty sure they’ll be a hit.
