Hello, friends!
We’ve welcomed a lot of new faces here this week, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Jacob, though most folks call me Hoss. If you are local to the area, you may have seen me around town in December as a helper for a certain jolly fellow in red. I’ve been honored to do that work for the past 7 to 8 years, and it remains one of the busiest and most joyful seasons of my year.
My wife, Hanna, and I are both middle school teachers. She teaches art, and I teach 8th Grade Civics. We have two boys who occasionally tag along at local events. Eoin (pronounced Owen), affectionately known as Goober, is usually quietly reading or playing a game until excitement gets the better of him and he starts jumping like the ground turned into a trampoline. Our youngest, Ollie, is the complete opposite. He has never met a stranger and will enthusiastically share whatever has captured his interest that day. We do our best to rein him in, with limited success. lol
Outside the classroom, I am completing my Clinical Herbalist training through Heart of Herbs Herbal School and will continue directly into Aromatherapy studies. I will be adding those services to our line up hopefully sooner than later!
Through Tinsel and Tonic Apothecary, we are now shipping nationwide while continuing to offer local delivery throughout Hardee County and Highlands County, including Fort Meade.
Our passion is helping people reconnect with traditional, plant based support for everyday wellness. In addition to our handcrafted herbal tea blends, I offer one on one consultations that can be booked through our website. A brief consultation allows us to adjust an existing blend to better fit your needs or sensitivities. A full consultation is a deeper process where we create a custom formulation designed specifically for you and the systems you want to support.
We are grateful you are here and look forward to serving this community.
