🤔Did you know that dogs need to practice a cue like 'drop it' or 'leave it' often hundreds of times before mastering it?

It's also crucial to understand that training should be proactive rather than reactive. Using a cue like 'drop it' when your dog already has your shoe is not a productive training method.

Given the significant differences between canine and human behavior - we have very diifferent rules, it's essential to provide dogs with structured learning environments if we are going to successfully live with them.

This is why I strongly advocate for dog training classes, which my own dogs even attend.

❤️A wise woman, friend and mentor shared valuable wisdom, “know your value - you can help dogs no matter where you are or what you do.”

🐾She was absolutely right, and as I conclude this year, I am filled with immense gratitude for having had the opportunity to walk alongside so many on their journey.

Through my training sessions, behavior sessions, seminars and blogs, I will continue to help dogs be better understood and to help dogs and the humans they share their lives with!

I should also humbly add that I am only a small part of a village that shares my passion! Most of us didn’t choose this path. It was choosen for us

Bringing home a new dog is exciting… and overwhelming—for both of you. 🐾

I see so many loving families jump straight into training plans, social outings, and expectations before their dog has had a chance to feel safe.

Woah—slow down. Your dog just landed!

Imagine arriving in a foreign country where you don’t know the language, routines, or rules. That’s exactly how a newly adopted dog experiences their first days at home.
