❄️ Heavy Snow = More Pain?
Here’s exactly what treatment to choose so you can feel better fast.

Shoveling, slipping, salting, hauling kids in and out of the car… winter is basically an Olympic sport. But your body shouldn’t have to pay for it.

If you’re feeling any of these 👇 here’s your match:

✨ Scrunched, smushed, compressed, or “shorter than usual”
➡️ GO FOR: Spinal Decompression
This gently creates space, unloads the discs, and gives your spine a literal sigh of relief.

✨ Sharp twinge, pulled something, or a muscle that’s “gripping”
➡️ GO FOR: Myofascial Release or Dry Needling
Perfect for strained muscles, spasms, and those “I moved weird” moments.

✨ Stiffness, locking, or feeling like something is “out of place”
➡️ GO FOR: Chiropractic Adjustment or Pilates
We restore alignment and retrain your movement so it doesn’t keep happening.

✨ Overuse from shoveling, scraping, or carrying too much
➡️ GO FOR: Myofascial Release or Class IV Laser
They reduce inflammation and speed recovery like magic (science magic).

You don’t have to tough it out this winter.
Your body can feel loose, aligned, and pain-free — even when the snow stacks up.

❄️ Book at Kee Health and let us help you melt the tension.

🧘‍♀️ Pilates Is ADHD Brain Medicine, Especially for Perimenopausal Women

If your brain feels like 47 tabs open with bad Wi-Fi, there’s a reason Pilates feels like relief. It isn’t just mind-body movement. It’s rhythmic, patterned, breath-linked movement, and ADHD and perimenopausal brains respond incredibly well to that structure.

Here’s the science.

Rhythmic movement boosts dopamine.
A 2017 study by van der Heijden and Heijer found that rhythmic exercise increases dopamine availability, which supports attention, motivation, and emotional regulation.

Movement with breath calms an overstimulated system.
Jerath et al. (2015) showed that synchronized movement and slow breathing reduce sympathetic overactivation and increase vagal activity. Pilates is built around this exact pairing of breath, control, and repetition.

Exercise improves executive function in ADHD.
Research consistently shows that even one session of exercise can improve working memory, attention, and cognitive flexibility. Pilates requires focus on form, breath, and sequencing, making it a perfect match.

Why this matters even more in perimenopause:
Brain fog
Mood dips
Sleep changes
Emotional swings
Trouble focusing
Feeling overwhelmed

Hormonal shifts can worsen ADHD symptoms by disrupting dopamine, norepinephrine, and GABA. Pilates supports these pathways through rhythm, breath, and mindful movement.

The PeriMeno ADHD Pilates Prescription:
Two to three sessions per week on the reformer
Match movement with steady breath
Prioritize flow instead of intensity
Treat class as nervous system hygiene

The bottom line: Pilates isn’t only good for ADHD. It aligns with how ADHD and perimenopausal brains regulate neurotransmitters, stress, and focus. It boosts dopamine, calms the nervous system, and gives your brain the rhythmic, predictable input it thrives on. It makes you stronger, more grounded, and more centered during a time of major hormonal change.

Pilates is medicine, and your brain deserves it.

🍁✨ A Thanksgiving Note From My Heart ✨🍁

This year… I don’t even have the words.
It has been one of the most beautiful, stretching, soul-expanding years of my life.

And as I sit with all the gratitude today, one thing rises above everything else:

You.

Every woman who has walked through our doors.
Every brave soul who trusted me with her health, her story, her healing, her strength.
Every person who supported Kee Health through the growth, the pivots, the big leaps, and the quiet rebuilding moments.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and serving so many truly lovely humans this year, and my heart feels so full it’s almost overwhelming. I don’t know how I could ever top this season of connection and community.

Owning a business is hard. Like, really hard.
There are moments you question everything.
Moments you wonder if the vision is too big or the mountain too steep.

But being surrounded by this community…
you make every single step worth it.

Thank you for choosing Kee Health.
Thank you for letting me be part of your wellness, your strength, your story.
Thank you for being the kind of community that feels like family.

From my heart to yours-
Happy Thanksgiving. 🍁💛
I’m grateful for you today and every day.

Will Pilates Help Me Lose Weight or Tone Up?

(The real answer — without the gimmicks or guilt.)

Let’s talk about it.

First off — you’re not shallow or vain for wanting to feel confident in your body.
It’s okay to want to see change, to feel leaner, tighter, lighter, or just more you again.

And yes — Pilates absolutely helps with body composition.
But it does it differently than most workouts you’ve tried before.

🔥 Here’s What Actually Happens
1. You build deep, intelligent muscle.
Pilates strengthens the stabilizers — those small, postural muscles that pull everything in and up.
You’ll notice your waistline feels more defined, your glutes lift, and your body moves with more control.
It’s not about bulking — it’s about sculpting.
2. You increase your metabolic efficiency.
When your muscles get stronger, your metabolism naturally works better.
Add consistent movement, good protein, and hydration, and your body starts burning smarter — even at rest.
3. You reduce inflammation + stress hormones.
Cortisol (the stress hormone) makes fat loss harder, especially around your midsection.
Pilates lowers stress, improves circulation, and balances your nervous system — meaning your body can finally let go of that “fight or flight” tension that stalls progress.
4. You improve posture and alignment.
This alone changes everything.
When your body is aligned, digestion improves, breathing deepens, and your workouts become more effective.
You’ll look longer and leaner — without losing a single pound.
5. You stay consistent — because it feels good.
The secret weapon? You’ll want to keep coming back.
Pilates isn’t punishment; it’s pleasure-based strength training. And consistency is what drives results.

⚖️ So… Will You Lose Weight?
If your goal is fat loss — Pilates helps, especially when combined with mindful nutrition, walking, and strength training (hello, K Method 💪).
It tones, tightens, and transforms your shape — from the inside out.

But the bigger shift is how you feel in your body.
You’ll stand taller. Move better. Feel lighter.
And that confidence? It radiates louder than any number on the scale.

✨ Thinking About Microdosing Peptides? Now Is Truly the Best Time ✨

If you’ve been interested in microdosing peptides or you’ve asked me about them in the past… this is the moment to try them safely, intentionally, and with real support. I have partnered with a medical team that I trust to bring peptides into our clinic.

For a limited time, when you purchase any microdosing plan, you’ll receive:

✨ A complimentary month of NAD+ (a $175 value)
✨ My full Kickstart to Success Program for FREE! —created by me, Dr. K
This includes nutrition guidance, movement support, and long-term action steps so you can use peptides safely and successfully.

So… what are peptides? Peptides aren’t just about weight loss. They support energy, inflammation, recovery, muscle health, metabolism, and cellular repair. It’s a whole-body longevity tool, not a quick fix.

You’ve probably heard of a few already:

• Semaglutide (Ozempic)
• Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound)
• Sermorelin

These are small chains of amino acids that act like “messengers” in your body—supporting metabolism, appetite regulation, inflammation reduction, repair, and recovery.

They’re not magic and they’re not a replacement for lifestyle…
but they can be an effective tool when paired with the habits you already practice.

Most people haven’t heard of NAD+ —and yet it’s one of the most powerful cellular repair peptides available.

NAD+ benefits include:
• Increased cellular energy
• Reduced inflammation
• Cognitive clarity + focus
• Support for metabolic health
• Anti-aging + DNA repair support

It’s a peptide I personally use, and one I continue to see big improvements with.

And right now, you get a full free month of NAD+ when you start any microdosing protocol.

If curious/interested: Send me a private message

I’ll set you up with our medical providers, answer all your questions, and get you enrolled in the Kickstart to Success Program so you have nutrition, movement, and safety all mapped out for you.

You deserve clarity, confidence, and a path that feels aligned.

Some of you want peptides, some prefer an all-natural approach. There is space for both here - no judgment, just support.

I was robbed this morning.
Yes… really.

Is thievery funny? Absolutely not.
Is there slight humor in the fact that a 40-year-old woman got robbed of her book fair money? I mean… a little.

Picture it:
4am. I walk out to my car, ready to open the studio, and the inside of my car looks like a raccoon with opposable thumbs held a rave in it. I normally keep nothing of value in there -- HOWEVER -- the Friends of the Waunakee Library book sale was this past weekend… and I had tucked away $200 cash to buy books.

The universe said “Not today, book lover.”

Lesson learned.

The officer who helped me was absolutely lovely, and honestly? I’m already over it. I’ll make that $200 back tenfold because my energy around money is healthy. The person who took it won't make it far; Money gained by stealing has no roots- it won't take you far because it wasn't grown, it was grabbed.

This will not ruin my day - if anything, it added some unexpected spice to the first day of my “vacation.” Also, friendly reminder that mindset is everything. Life is going to happen to you, how you react determines the quality of your days.

So ladies… lock up your book-fair money.
These streets are rough. 📚💸🤣

✨ Does Being Grateful Actually Rewire Your Brain for Good? ✨

Short answer: yes. It really does.
When you practice gratitude, even tiny micro-moments like “I’m grateful for this quiet morning” or “I’m grateful my back felt better today” your brain starts shifting in real, measurable ways.

Here’s what the science says:
💛 Gratitude activates the brain’s reward & bonding centers
Your medial prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate light up when you feel genuine gratitude. These are the same areas involved in motivation, empathy, and emotional regulation.

💛 It boosts dopamine & serotonin
These are the neurotransmitters that help you feel happier, more resilient, and more capable of handling life… and peri/meno… and kids… and work… and literally everything.

💛 It lowers stress hormones
Regular gratitude practice is associated with decreases in cortisol; your stress hormone.

💛 It improves physical wellbeing
People who regularly practice gratitude report fewer physical symptoms, better sleep, and stronger emotional resilience. This directly supports hormone balance, pain reduction, body composition changes, and your overall healing capacity.

Gratitude isn’t fluff.
It’s brain training.
It’s nervous-system soothing.
And it’s one of the simplest tools you can layer into your wellness journey; no equipment, no cost, and no side effects.

Try this today:
Write down ONE thing you're grateful for & WHY it mattered.
That “why” is what lights up the brain.

Your Gut and Thyroid Are Talking
Are You Listening?

Here’s the thing most women aren’t told: your thyroid and gut are in constant conversation.

About 20% of your thyroid hormone (T3) is actually converted in the gut, and when your microbiome is off balance, digestion is sluggish, or you’re dealing with chronic bloating, your thyroid can’t do its job properly.

That means fatigue, stubborn weight changes, hair loss, mood swings, and that frustrating “I’m doing everything right but still don’t feel right” feeling.

At Kee Health, I work with women every day who’ve been told their labs are “normal,” yet still feel anything but.
We dig deeper; testing gut health, thyroid function, and inflammation to rebuild energy, metabolism, and confidence from the inside out.

Because healing your hormones starts in your gut. 🦋

Your Back Called. It Wants Pilates

🦴 A meta-analysis confirmed what our clients already know; Pilates works.

In this 2023 research review, people with chronic low back pain who practiced Pilates saw a 29-point drop on the pain scale and significant improvements in daily function and quality of life.

✨ At Kee Health, our Spinal Reset and Classical Pilates sessions are designed with the exact same science in mind:

gentle, precise spinal mobility

deep core activation for stability

breath-driven control that resets your nervous system

This isn’t just movement - it’s medicine for your spine. 💫

If your low back has been whispering (or screaming) for attention, start with a Spinal Reset or Classical Reformer class this week.

Because better posture, less pain, and a stronger spine aren’t luxuries; they’re your birthright. 💪
