Meet Yvonne, Recovery Specialist. I bet you didn't know that Unity has Peer Support imbedded in Intensive outpatient treatment at Libertas. This is a unique program where Yvonne is part of the daily groups providing peer support. . She brings new groups to Libertas's participants as well. She has started a Wellbriety group here and also takes that on the road to offer this alternative way to recovery to those interested. She also provides craft classes to graduates of IOP which allows for ongoing connection as participants get their feet on the ground. Yvonne brings her Native American culture to her crafting making dreamcatchers and other nature-based crafts. Above she is offering a planting group! If you are interested in Wellbriety or anything else Yvonne is doing as a peer, contact us below.

The first brat fry of the year was a hit! πŸŽ‰
What an incredible day filled with community, connection, and good food. Thank you to every volunteer who showed up and gave their time, you are the heartbeat of Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S.
And, what's a recovery brat fry without the Redgranite Police Department stopping by? πŸ’™ A special thank you to Officer Brieanne Chappa for showing up, showing support, and reminding our community that recovery is something worth celebrating together. We are so grateful for the shoutout on your page - it means more than you know!
To our friends at Wild Pines Coffee, you are absolutely amazing! Thank you for your generous support and for always holding space for us. Your warmth and your delicious coffee makes everything a little better. We love you guys! β˜•πŸ€Ž

For just $25 a month, you can keep the lights on.
Our recovery centers run on community support. A monthly gift of $25 helps cover the basics: a warm space, a fresh pot of coffee, and someone ready to listen without judgment. That might sound small. For someone taking their first step, it is everything.

Yesterday, Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S was honored with the privilege of bringing All-Recovery Meetings into the Waushara County Jail. Hearing the heartfelt gratitude from some of the women who struggle with addiction and mental health challenges was deeply moving. They shared that our presence gave them something to hold on to, and that is hope. Hope that recovery is possible for them after all.
Addiction is such a lonely place to be. When someone understands with compassion rather than judgment what you're going through, can make all the difference in the world. We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that actively supports recovery and mental health instead of turning away.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Your commitment to showing up for those who need it most is changing lives.

There's such a bittersweet feeling in returning to the Hope Center in Waukesha, a place where I once sat on the other side, seeking help myself. Yesterday, we had the privilege of serving this wonderful community a hot meal and providing clothing, jackets, shoes, and hygiene products to those in need. I am forever grateful to our Waushara recovery family who made this possible.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S recovery community for showing up and making outreach events like this happen. Billy Jack, your organization of this outreach project does not go unnoticed. We thank you! And to all our wonderful volunteers who drove two hours to support this meal and donation drive, we are forever grateful for you! πŸ’–
