I don’t know about you, but if I see a gentleman wearing a military hat out and about, I stop and thank them for their service. They have seen things I will never wish to see myself and we owe them a lot for their service and life commitment to what America stands for. Thank a veteran, buy them a coffee or their meal. It’s quite literally the least we can do.

Your space doesn’t have to be white-on-white to feel clean, calm, and inviting — but it does need to be clutter-free.
I’ll be honest… clutter is one of my biggest pet peeves. I’ve been to other massage therapists before where I couldn’t even find a place to set my purse down. That immediately changes how the space feels, doesn’t it?
Keeping your treatment room neat and tidy isn’t just about looks — it’s about the energy it gives off. A cluttered space can feel overwhelming, and it’s also so much harder to keep clean. Knickknacks and “stuff” might have meaning, but in our line of work, simplicity is what creates peace for both you and your clients.
Between clients, I make it a point to wipe down every surface — containers, lotion bottles, face rest covers, tables, doorknobs — anything I’ve touched with lotion hands. I also empty the garbage when it’s halfway full, not when it’s spilling over. It’s the small details that say a lot about your professionalism and care.
Try walking into your room as if you were a brand-new client. What would stand out? What would make you feel comfortable and welcomed? Then aim to recreate that feeling before every session.
And don’t forget — warmth matters. Keep your space and table comfortable for your clients, but also make sure it feels good for you to work in. When you’re relaxed, that energy carries through your hands.

Chakra Therapy:
Derived from yogic traditions, centers on the seven major chakras—energy centers aligned along the spine that govern specific physical, emotional, and spiritual functions. They are root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown. Each chakra corresponds to a specific aspect of life, from survival and creativity to love and intuition. When a chakra is blocked or imbalanced, it can manifest as physical ailments, emotional distress, or mental fog.
Over the next seven days we are going to deep dive into each chakra. Follow along and feel free to ask questions as we go.
