It was such a joy to speak about being an End of Life doula at the Biloxi Library today. 🩵

A huge thank you to Toni Maurice-Milburn for presenting our Return Date Cafe today! She talked about her experience being a end-of-life doula and all that entails.

Return Date Cafe is a quarterly event where we discuss topics surrounding death and dying in a relaxed setting. Our next program will be in April.

Today was wear all white in honor of Frankie Beverly. He was the soundtrack to many of our childhoods and will be greatly missed. We streamed his music in the shop all day. RIH sir, you have surely earned your wings.

The Ebony Sage Salve Collection is fully restocked and ready to go!!! This includes a special addition of "Mama Toni's All Purpose Healing Salve!" This salve relieves discomfort and aids with healing of minor burns, cuts and abrasions. Also aids dry skin areas and cracked heels.

As most of you know, our Mama Toni has been diagnosed with breast cancer and began chemo treatments a few weeks ago, after surgery to remove the tumor. She has 4 more sessions of chemo followed by 5 weeks of radiation and 1 year of hormone therapy infusions. To help offset some of the medical expenses, we are having a fundraiser at the shop for her benefit. We have a custom made BC Awareness bracelet handmade by our very own in house artist, Chriss Guise of Soulful Alchemy. Each bracelet has rose quartz, clear quartz and mother of pearl. Each bracelet is $25.

All proceeds from these sales will be used to help with whatever her needs are during her treatments.

The alchemy for Ebony Sage Apothecary's owner, Toni Maurice-Milburn, includes Master Herbalist, Holistic Health Professional, Certified Massage Therapist, MA in Psychology, BA in both Early Childhood Education and Psychology, and she is currently a PhD candidate in Education.

Mama Toni, as she is affectionately known within the community, is a powerful Conjure Woman and Spiritual Advisor, with over 25 years of practice, an initiated Priestess of Oshun in the Ifa Tradition, a gifted Diviner, Reiki Master Teacher and trained Rootworker. Mix all of these enchanting properties and years of wisdom and mastery into a pot and what brews is something truly magical, well rounded and healing.

As the owner, Master Herbalist and Rootworker of Ebony Sage Apothecary, Mama Toni utilizes her spiritual gifts as well as extensive training in herbology, aromatherapy, massage therapy, crystal healing and Reiki, to provide offerings such as custom teas, herbal baths and healing products, as well as services to support her clients efforts at utilizing individualized and personal healing alternatives.
