💛 IDD Awareness in Action! 💛

Our Ware CS team had a great time out in the community promoting Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Awareness Month!

Staff visited Ameris Bank, the City Fire Station, Wawa, and the Sheriff’s Office to share IDD awareness by handing out awareness wristbands and pens. Small conversations and simple gestures like these help spread understanding and remind our community that everyone belongs.

Thank you to our community partners for helping us raise awareness and show support! 🧡

March is Self-Harm Awareness Month 🧡

Behind smiles, jokes, and “I’m fine”…
millions of people are silently fighting battles no one can see.

Self-harm is more common than people realize — and the stigma keeps many suffering in silence.

This month we’re talking about it.
We’re spreading awareness.
And we’re reminding people they are not alone.

If even one person in your life is struggling, this conversation matters.

We want to send a HUGE thank you to Kim Gibson for inviting us to be part of the College & Career Fair at Coastal Pines Technical College 🎓✨

It was an incredible day connecting with students in Waycross — we had the opportunity to meet and speak with over 250 students! 🙌💬 Even more special, we saw students from all eight counties we proudly serve, making it an amazing opportunity to connect with each of them and share about the different careers and services we offer.

We loved explaining the many roles within our organization and how behavioral health careers make a real difference in our communities 💙

Caeden Johnson, Apex SBMHP & Marketing Coordinator, and Kayla Ramos, HR Generalist represented our team and engaged with students throughout the event 👏✨

We are always grateful for opportunities to invest in the next generation and showcase the impact of the work we do! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to highlight our very own Victoria Landis, Co-Responder for Unison 👏💙

Victoria recently spoke at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities 2026 Co-Responder Teams Conference 🎤✨ where she served as a panelist on “Stronger Together: The Collaborative Power of Certified Peer Specialists in Georgia.”

She shared her experience and insight on the powerful impact of peer support within co-responder programs across the state 🌎🤝

As a valued member of our Co-Responder Team here in Waycross, Victoria has made a tremendous impact since day one 🚔💬 As a Certified Peer Specialist, she brings lived experience, compassion, and understanding into every interaction — truly helping define what a co-responder is and the vital role peer support plays in crisis response ❤️

Her dedication to the individuals and families we serve reflects the heart of our mission, and we couldn’t be more proud of how she represented our team and our community 🙌

Congratulations, Victoria! Thank you for the difference you make every single day 💙🧡
