Alzheimerâs Linked to Periodontitis.
Hey Everyone!
We've got our last special of the month!
You guys, our new Dr. Tungâs Activated Charcoal Vegan Dental Floss has taken The Raw Food World by storm. I literally canât keep it on the shelves.
You know how we are always trying to take care of ourselves as well as possible in order to avoid becoming senile in the long-run?
We eat healthily, exercise, and frantically avoid as many toxins as possible such as plastics, heavy metals, pesticides, EMFâs, mold, radiation, fluoride, and so much more, all in order to avoid Alzheimerâs and Dementia related diseases in the long-run.
What if one of the main factors of developing Alzheimers has to do with how well we take care of our teeth?
At the study here, scientists suggests that bacteria that cause gum disease are also associated with the development of Alzheimerâs disease and related dementias.
50-75% of the human population are estimated to have gingivitis, which is the mildest form, and the start of these gum diseases.
The bacteria and the inflammatory molecules that gum diseases produce can travel from infections in the mouth through the bloodstream to the brain. Even previous lab studies at the links here, here, and here, have suggested that this is one mechanism influencing the cascade of events that leads to dementia.
The number one thing that we can do in order to avoid these gum diseases is to floss our teeth daily.
I know that last year I shared that I discovered a water flosser, and I felt that I didnât need to floss, because of it. Well, my opinion has now changed.
Every once in a while, I will come across a video on the importance of taking care of your teeth and flossing. I would then grab my floss and go at it. I was using this Oral B glide type floss. It was really thin, it is meant to glide well, and I didnât really get any results. In fact this type of floss would poke my gums and hurt.
Nothing really profound would happen when I flossed my teeth with this particular floss. Therefore, I just stuck with the water flosser.
However, when I was in Ecuador, I came across this study above. Immediately, I felt the need to floss my teeth again. However, I didnât bring my floss from home and I wanted to floss now.
I rummaged through all of my old goods that we left here in Ecuador, and I found some of my old Smart Floss from Dr. Tungs.
OMG! The other floss did nothing for me, and this Smart Floss changed my life, lol.
Ok, so check this out!
Itâs such a soft string that gently expands between teeth to clean more efficiently than typical flosses. When you pull it tight it does the opposite of expanding, like a tight string, so itâs super easy to get it in between your teeth. Once the floss is in between your teeth and you move it up and down once on each side, it gently expands almost like a soft cloth. It takes up way more surface area on the tooth compared to regular dental floss. The result is removing way more plaque.
As I stated earlier, regular dental floss wouldnât do much for me so I thought water flossing was enough. However, after I used this Smart Floss, the difference was huge. It didnât poke or hurt in anyway from it being sharp-like the glide one. I got so much stuff out of my teeth. I could feel spaces in between my teeth with my tongue that I didnât feel before. My other floss didnât do that.
Yes, after the first day of using the Smart Floss, my gums got a little inflamed. However, it felt really good and healing. The second day, the inflamed gums were pretty much healed, but there was a little bleeding on the second day. The third day, all was pretty much healed and perfect. Now I feel the need to floss every day with this stuff. The regular floss wouldnât even come close to cleaning my teeth like this.
In fact, at the clinical study here, Smart Floss was up to 55% more effective than other leading floss types. Furthermore, those patients with moderate to severe periodontitis who used Smart Floss saw even more significant results in plaque removal and a reduction in gingival bleeding compared to the other Dental Flosses used.
They tested three other flosses against the Smart Floss, including a waxed dental floss (similar to Oral B traditional waxed dental floss), a monofilament dental floss (similar to Gore Glide floss), and a fine dental floss (similar to Butler Fine unwaxed floss).
The worst scores were found in those patients using PTFE (similar to Glide) and fine floss, while those patients using a non-thin, non-PTFE floss saw better improvement. However, the Smart Floss blew them all away, simply removing way more plaque than any of these other types of floss.
I was using something similar to Glide, which simply did not work well.
You also have to be careful of the toxicity contained in your dental floss.
This is a Raw Vegan dental floss!
Iâm just kidding. However, it is promoted as all vegan ingredients that is never tested on any animals.
In terms of toxicity, the Smart Floss is not made from PTFE, the floss material implicated by âUSA Todayâ at the link here, as being potentially toxic.
PTFE material is widely used for floss, because it slides up and down easily between teeth, even though it was the worst performing floss as far as plaque removal goes from that study above. The Smart Floss uses a proprietary blend of non-toxic plant-based wax, which makes it glides super easily.
Furthermore, the Smart Floss is not treated with PFOAS, PFAS, PFOS, APFO and/or fluorine surfactants, which some companies intentionally do. Multiple research tests show that the amount of organic fluorine in the Smart Floss (said to reflect PFAS) is undetectable in lab tests.
They also use Eco-friendly FSC-certified packaging.
They took the Smart Floss one step further and added activated charcoal to adsorb even more bacteria and tackle plaque. On top of that, they added a burst of natural lemongrass flavor, leaving you with a fresh taste that lasts long after use. Just like Smart Floss, the Activated Charcoal Smart Floss gently expands between teeth to clean more efficiently than typical flosses. Itâs literally like a cloth cleaning the plaque right off of your teeth.
This Activated Charcoal Smart Floss is what we have on special today.
I was just minding my own business here in Ecuador, and a friend on Facebook shared this shocking finding where these Studies above reveal that Alzheimer's could have originated from chronic periodontitis. This connection highlights the importance of oral health in preventing neurodegenerative diseases. Luckily, I didnât bring my toxic Oral B glide floss to Ecuador, or I would have never rediscovered this Dr. Tungâs innovative Smart Floss.
After the second day of using the Smart Floss, I yelled out to Angela and the girls, who were hanging out in the background, that I just spent $1500 on Dental Floss, lol. They were like What?!
I then told them that I got all of that floss for you guys, and shared this entire story above.
Anyhow, weâve got the best floss in the world, this Activated Charcoal Smart Floss, âAt-Costâ on special through the end of the month.
Normally $6.95 each, we have them on sale for only $5.49 each when you get a 3-pack.
