This is us!! Celebrating my mom’s 87th birthday early so that Bill and I could attend… as we planned on pretty much quarantining until his transplant on 12/1.
However, things don’t always go as we plan.. and unfortunately, at Bill’s pre-op testing.. they found some new antigens in his blood that weren’t there before; and that he is no longer a match to his Donor…
They don’t know why this has happened, and quite honestly, I had no idea it could.. I don’t even fully understand yet, so I apologize for the lack of details…
I do know that he will not be having his kidney transplant on Monday.. and that this Friday, they will begin searching for a new Donor…
We are devastated, absolutely heartbroken; all this just happend 6 days out.. I am lost!

Hello everyone.. Bill has 10 dialysis left until transplant day!!! Amen!! And thank you all for your continued prayers - we greatly appreciate them and need them so!!
This picture is of Bill and Teresa!! Our donor, our friend and now forever part of our family. She has blessed us beyond words.. we love her and will be forever grateful.
There are so many people struggling with kidney disease-if you have ever thought about being a donor.. I encourage you to do so…Through this journey, I have met several people who have donated a kidney and said that it was one of the best things they have done in their life..❤️
December 1st is coming fast … please keep Bill and Teresa in your prayers!!

Believe it or not the 3rd picture here is the most recent! His daughters thought he needed a new look as he awaits his new kidney!! YES.. a kidney donor has been matched with Bill and the transplant will take place in a few months. We are beyond blessed and grateful ❤️❤️❤️

His donor, Teresa Bennett is an exceptional young woman. She is and has been for quite some time a great family friend and an extremely dear friend to our daughter, Danielle.

Teresa - there isn’t anything that can compare to the blessing that you’re giving our family. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for you and how much you mean to us.

Bill will keep pushing through dialysis until the transplant surgery takes place. Only 25 dialysis appointments left!! (But who’s counting?)

We continue to pray daily for a potential kidney donor match!! As we all celebrated Father’s Day this weekend.. and told our Dad’s how much we love them and thanked them for all they do for us…. I thanked God for this man!! The “Father” to my 2 beautiful daughters.. and the Pops to my absolutely awesome grandsons and soon to be my first granddaughter 🩷
We all love him so much and really need him to be here with us for a long time. We just want him to be healthy again.
Thank you all for your continued love and support as we navigate through this difficult journey that we are on.

We are still taking things one day at a time.. Bill continues to be in good spirits while we wait to find his perfect match!! It’s not easy waiting.. some days are harder than others… but some days are still amazing!
UC has told us to keep advocating for a live donor… so if you think this is something you would be willing to do, please go to his page and follow the link.. we need help rallying to get this for Bill.. please share.. please please please 🙏

Everything looks the same as last time he had this done which was 2022. That is great news. We needed this to continue to move forward with kidney transplant. Thank you all for your continued love, support and mostly prayers! One day at a time!! 🤞🏼

The waiting is one of the hardest parts of this journey that we are on….
Bill continues to have good days and bad days… dialysis is really hard on him-as I am sure it is for most.. He is so amazing-he is trying so hard to push through so much and to get as much done around the house as he can while he feels good…
We are still looking and praying for that “MATCH” for Bill.. we need your help.. please share, like, talk to people you know..

We have good days and we have bad days.. as we all do. Sometimes on the good days.. for a split second, I forget exactly how sick Bill is..however, I am quickly reminded..
We had our 2nd appointment with UC this week.. met with the transplant team-from surgeons, nurses, dietitians, and social worker.. it was a long, exhausting day.. but a joyous one as this moves us closer to a potential kidney transplant.
I know that they are starting to call in and schedule testing for potential donors..
so, if you have been thinking about it, please.. now is the time. ❤️❤️❤️
A few years ago, I met an incredible couple while camping and we have been Facebook friends since then, she donated her kidney to a friend 18 years ago.. she messaged me and said she would be happy to talk to anyone if they had any questions about donation. I can get you in touch with her if you would like.
