Leaning into the hard in so many ways this year has showed me how much beauty there is in the simple, the every day, the slow down, the listening, the being curious.

It’s so easy to complain about weather - and while I’m sure explicits will come out of my mouth while walking to my car today in -20 degree weather (yes, you read that right) - if this past year has taught me anything it’s that complaining does nothing but keep you from seeing what is right in front of you.

Instead, why not look around and see what good there is in it for you.

Why not do the hard work to make changes that benefit you and others right where you are today, right now.

There was an instant peace when both said, we are staying. And an instant unveiling of what could be possible.

We may move to warmer climates one day sure, but the gift of just being right now and leaning in fully has been such a game changer for myself, Mr b, and the boys.

How many times have you cleaned out your closet, but got overwhelmed half way through?

Same goes for any restart : from cleaning out your actual closet, or choosing to restart in life, business, health, relationships- you name it.

There is always a point in which you look around and think, what next? But don’t stop. Lean in. It may be tedious but you can always adjust, remember why you started the process in the first place.

Come along with me, my clothes are all over the floor, the closet is empty, and one by one I’ve been choosing what to keep and what to let go of in this business.

Here to show the messy middle and give all the inspiration we all need to know - when something isn’t feeling right, it’s ok to pause and make sure it fits.

But seriously, are you one of those people who carries bags of clothes to drop off at goodwill for months at a time? (Asking for a friend;)

Social media free summer has been kinda sweet ❤️
But who here is itching for some more routine? 👋
One more week of summer + one more vacation = the countdown is on…..

Summer in a nutshell:
🤪 practiced deep breathing while watching kids cliff jump
❤️ spent the day on the north shore and wished it was weeks
🏝️ lounged at the rooftop pool for sister bday
🤾 spent hours playing and running and laughing with the boys
🎭 cheered the loudest when the boys performed in theater camp
❤️ celebrated 21 years with Mr B
🐟 sat by the water while the boys fished
🌅 soaked up as many sunsets as possible from my patio that I’m trying to make feel like a French cafe ;)

Few more weeks - soaking it all up!

It’s been a full 2 months of meeting clients face to face, soaking up end of school year moments and performances, and celebrating it all with my boys and Mr B over a long lake weekend to top it all off.

When you have to
👀 switch from mom mode to work mode repeatedly
🛬 adjust to different schedules every week
😉 be present in the 1,000 May-cember activities while feeling all the feels that your kids are growing so fast

—-> Holding an ANCHOR each day (or a repeating routine) can help you to enjoy and fully BE where you are in each moment.

Here’s mine ☕️ ☀️ ❤️

1. a warm cup of anything (coffee, lemon water, tea)
2. sunshine on my skin
3. gratitude for what I have & intentionally deciding how I want to feel today & prioritizing what will make it happen (and letting go of the rest.)

It’s been my morning practice for over 5 years… and I’m not changing it anytime soon!
