Owning an animal comes with responsibility and care taking for them and others

➡️Spay and Neuter ~a touchy subject 😵‍💫

🐾I'm not against it ~but believe the growth plates need to he fused First. Because it's Not only a s*x hormone when your animal is developing in the first year of life.

🐾Spay and neuter will Not stop the bad owner. Who doesn't train or think it's a throw away product.

🐾Will not stop the "bad behavior" it's training and understanding

🐾Early spay and neuter can cause many behavioral problems, from high anxiety, aggression,being overly needy., this list goes on also.

⚠️Book behavior Training will Not help you🥹
If your dog has behavioral issues and was spayed or neutered early you have the right to understand why they are behaving they way they are and the delicate steps to help them. Your dog needs a voice you can hear, not a shock collar, spray bottle, prong collar.

Dog behavior issues are guided by understanding their WHY🤔~Not just training.

I read the dog , give you their story, their why to understand them and help You train them.

You would be amazed of how much You can do with your dog given the correct information.

Jumps on everyone
Escapes the yard
Is reactive
Now fighting with my other dog😭

Not a behavior you punish!
It's a behavior you understand!!!!

Behavioral modification takes time!!! But not the time you think 🤗🐾Not a class , not a program or a timeline~there is No timeline because every dog and owner is different.
It takes You the owner, understanding the Why and working together to build the relationship with your best friend 🐾🤗

🐾Training help for the "perfect dog"🐾

➡️Does it exist?
🐾NO~this is an opinion of what one feels is the perfect dog.

This picture was taken at a celebration of life for my Dad , last year. His dog was not placed here but this is where he preferred to be. Why? Because he was family and lost a loved one.

🐾Your dog does Not run away from home if they are treated like family! BUT also trained with discipline ~They are not people and have to learn your house rules, not mine~Yours

🐾The perfect Dog ~is a dog that You want it to be!
The one that is trained!!!! Not , pinch collar, not shock collar, not tools ~trained by personality and life style
⚠️But the hard ones (my work load)need to be understood.
Just because it's "THAT BREED" does not mean they can do what you think they should because of the breed. The serious breeders understand this.This is the reason the breeder can categorize their dogs as ~Pet Quality.

➡️showing, herding, dock diving, rally, disc dog, agility, hunting, the list goes on
⚠️ Depending on what you want your dog to do~they mostly start the same way. Boundaries and manners in the first year of life. Those bones and joints need to be solid to move forward. Each discipline (event) or what ever terminology you want to use🤦 because it's all changes😵‍💫


🐾🐾Need help? When you say I need a trainer! Let me guide you on where to turn to , what questions to ask🤔. Many great trainers out there and many abusive ones. Training comes from understanding the dog ~not to getting hung up on the "breed" but also breeding and abilities count.
I am a behaviorist/trainer here to educate the ones that want the information. Forty five years experience reading animal behavior ~not from the book ~from all the animals I've worked with. ( Horses, dogs, cats)

Jaxn 🐾Rags to Riches shelter dog journey

Updated status 🐾Service dog in training

Jaxn is being trained, by his owner Maleah Allen with side by side coaching and mini training sessions from me.
It's a team effort 🐾🤗

🐾🤗I continue to see this team grow and become one, for me it's the gift I have that I can read an animal . But it also comes down to training each Step with understanding when to move forward and when to modify. Nothing a book will Ever teach you.

I am extremely proud of both their progress 🥰

➡️I take Service Dog training extremely serious and Respect the Vest. Service dog training is not a game it's a job for a dog. I never step outside my own training abilities. I am also extremely picky on what I read and see in every team. Your pet maybe the best dog ever but this is an important Job that not all of them can do.

🐾If I add this "service tag" this Team deserves it and earned it!! The owner has been a rockstar on following every step. Proud of you Maleah🥰

Texas LOST DOGS!!!!!~You check for a microchip and say ..no chip THINK AGAIN. And please remember what happened last February. The data base is Gone!!

Save This Life, a Texas-based pet microchip company, shut down abruptly in early February 2025, leaving thousands of pets with unregistered microchips.
⚠️As a result, microchips registered with Save This Life no longer provide owner contact information when scanned—rendering them ineffective for reuniting lost pets with their families. 🥹😭
⚠️The company ceased operations
⚠️It's database is no longer accessible, and it is no longer listed in the American Animal Hospital Association’s (AAHA) Microchip Registry Lookup tool.
⚠️⚠️⚠️As a result, microchips registered with Save This Life no longer provide owner contact information when scanned—rendering them ineffective for reuniting lost pets with their families.
