The annual harvest of rose petals has officially begun. ❤️
I have a huge, very old rose bush that gives me the best rose petals that I use in my products. This bush is commonly known as an heirloom rose bush or antique rose bush. I have never used anything on it that isn’t natural. In fact, this bush is so hardy that it only needs sunshine and raindrops, and it thrives and produces beautiful, healthy roses.
I harvest these every year for use in my products. I mainly use them in my Rose Water face tonic.
Sometimes my customers ask why some bottles of rose water are a darker pink than others, and I think this photo gives a great explanation. When working with nature, you are not going to get identical products every time - and that is a good thing! Each plant will have natural variations from season to season, depending on environmental factors such as total rainfall, how much sun they get, how soon temperatures heat up or cool down, etc. All of the petals in this photo came from the same bush on the same day, and you can see all of the beautiful variations in the petals. Products made in labs are identical every time - and they are made with synthetic products that our bodies do not recognize. Products made using natural ingredients will have variations which are actually very good for our bodies, and our bodies recognize them and are able to easily assimilate and utilize them, because the Lord created these plants with us in mind, to nourish and heal our bodies. ❤️ The Lord’s creation is beautiful and amazing.
