🍁 We had a beautiful trip to Cherokee in honor of Indigenous People's day of his weekend. We learned a lot about their cultural traditions at tge Oconaluftee Indian Village and then had dinner at Native Brews Tap and Grille. The drive was gorgeous and everyone enjoyed being together with old and new friends! 🍁🍂🍁

So good to spend time with our fun friends and community from Givens Ge**er Park at Burntshirt Vineyards today!
We are already planning our next vineyard to visit... so stay tuned!!! 🍇🍷🥰

I'm so thankful to spend the anniversary of such a tragic experience with these beautiful folks, and all the laughs were the medicine we all needed!

So exciting to see some of our favorite destinations reopening after Helene!

: has officially reopened as of Sept. 15, 2025 — just in time for leaf season! 🍂 Thanks to major recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene, visitors can once again enjoy the breathtaking views from the highest peak east of the Mississippi.

The reopening comes as the Blue Ridge Parkway reopens from Asheville (milepost 382) to just past the park entrance at milepost 355.3. The Parkway remains closed north of the park toward Little Switzerland, so visitors must access from the Asheville side. Be sure to fuel up before your trip — it’s a 70-mile round drive with no gas stations nearby.

Most trails in the park are open, though some remain closed in Pisgah National Forest. The restaurant and tent campsites are still closed, but the concession stand will be open on weekends and the gift shop is expected to open soon.

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day to celebrate our local theater with our beautiful friends from the Marshall Senior Center and Brooks Howell Home Community!!

We got to see the Murder on the Orient Express at Flat Rock Playhouse!! We were all blown away with the stunning performances, talented actors, and the set designs. WOW! If you have a chance to go, it was such a wonderful show!! 🎭

Aging Projects, Inc., 11th Annual “Autumn Festival: Caring About You" is not your typical festival event. Attendees will be able to take advantage of meet and greet learning opportunities with 50+ local professional organizations and attend 4 informative presentation sessions to develop the knowledge to care for themselves and their loved ones. Health screening, networking, and interactive demonstrations will take place throughout the day. There is no cost to attend due to Care Solutions Mobility Center’s collaborative Autumn Festival platinum partnership.
