Although I typically see Dr. Birkett, Ian went out of his way to say that even though he isn’t Dr. Birkett’s nurse, I should feel comfortable reaching out to him anytime if I need anything. That level of initiative and kindness left a lasting impression

The spotlight was on service Tuesday afternoon at Van Diest Medical Center, as volunteers were honored for the countless ways they give their time and talents as greeters, bedside companions, gift shop staff, Auxiliary and Foundation members and SHIIP volunteers. The celebration coincided with National Volunteer Week, April 19–25. Entertainment was provided by Webster City Community Theatre’s Over the Speed Limit Players.

A little bit of joy is fluttering through the Van Diest Family Health Clinic in Stratford. 🦋

The preschool class at Stratford Elementary School, along with their teachers, created these colorful butterflies to brighten our space—and they’ve done just that. You’ll find them scattered throughout the lobby, hallways, and exam rooms, bringing smiles to patients and staff alike.

It’s amazing how something small and handmade can make such a big impact. These cheerful creations are a reminder of the kindness and creativity that make our community so special.

Thank you to the students and teachers for sharing your talent with us and helping make our clinic feel even more welcoming.
