Partswork is the idea that our mind is made up of different "parts" that have their own feelings, thoughts, and purposes.

Have you noticed how much we think about food before we eat it? We think about it, talk about it and fantasise about it.

Yet, when we actually eat it we give no thought to it at all, we shovel it in, hardly tasting it and then we miss our guts full signal and overeat but still not feeling totally satisfied.

Then we snack.

Try this instead!

Take a moment before you start to eat to notice the colours on your plate. Inhale the aromas.

Feel the texture of your food as you bring it to your mouth.

Chew slowly, around twenty times and savour the flavours.

​This is the heart of mindful eating: connecting with your food and your body's signals.

It's not about strict rules or diets, but about awareness. It's about listening when your body says it's hungry and stopping when it's satisfied.

​Mindful eating can transform your relationship with food. It can help you find true enjoyment in what you're eating and build a sense of peace around mealtimes.

It’s a practice of self-care, a way to nourish your body and your mind.
