Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist – 1099 Independent Contractor

Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology | Bolivar, NY

Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology is seeking a pediatric (birth-18 years old) Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing private practice as an independent contractor (1099).

This opportunity is ideal for an SLP seeking flexibility, autonomy, and control over their caseload while providing high-quality, in-person pediatric services.

Position Overview:
• Pediatric speech and language therapy
• In-person services at our Bolivar, NY office (teletherapy & home health options as well)
• Flexible caseload — clinicians may accept as few or as many clients as desired
(Even one client is welcome)
• Independent contractor (1099) position

Minimum Qualifications:
• Active New York State Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Active professional liability (malpractice) insurance
• Ability to independently provide services in accordance with NYS licensure requirements and ASHA standards

Credentialing Information:
Please note that insurance credentialing under Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology may take up to approximately three months (often sooner, but timelines vary by payer). Because credentialing is a lengthy process, interested clinicians are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

✨ Office Update!! ✨

We wanted to share a quick update: our office is OPEN and we’ve been seeing a wonderful variety of clients!!

Thanks to referrals from our amazing providers and the word-of-mouth support from our community, we’re excited to continue growing and providing quality speech-language services.

📍 Office Location: 80 Liberty St., Bolivar, New York (by appointment only)
🖥 Teletherapy: Available
🏡 Home Health: Available ONLY for select diagnoses

Appointments are required — please call to schedule.

Our SLP, who will focus on adult clients, is currently completing insurance credentialing and will begin seeing adults soon. In the meantime, I continue to see clients of all ages, and we are also actively looking to add an additional pediatric SLP to our team.

Lastly, we’re still working on getting the office exactly the way we want it, which is why we haven’t shared progress photos yet — stay tuned!

Swallowing Problems? We Can Help🖤

Speech-language pathologists evaluate, diagnose, and treat swallowing disorders.

SLPs are specially trained to evaluate how the muscles and structures of the mouth and throat function during swallowing and to determine swallow safety and efficiency.

A swallowing evaluation by an SLP may include:
• review of medical and swallowing history
• assessment of oral motor and sensory function
• observation of swallowing with various food and liquid textures
• recommendations for instrumental testing (such as a Modified Barium Swallow Study, when indicated)

Based on the results, SLPs develop and provide treatment, which may include:
• individualized swallowing therapy
• therapeutic exercises and strategies
• diet texture and liquid consistency recommendations
• caregiver and patient education

➡️ The goal is safe, efficient swallowing and improved quality of life.

Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology is pleased to announce that we are in-network with Humana.

To schedule your appointment, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Schedule an appointment with or contact your Primary Care Provider (P*P). Simply explain why you may need speech-language therapy services. The provider’s office will prepare and fax the referral (prescription) directly to Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology. This referral (document) is required for insurance purposes to allow Humana to cover services.

Step 2: Contact Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology to confirm receipt of the referral and review the next steps for scheduling.

Step 3: Once confirmed, you will receive access to our secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal. We will begin with a comprehensive speech-language evaluation and, if recommended, initiate an individualized therapy plan.

Full Scope Speech-Language Pathology is now opening a physical office space for in-person sessions!

Starting November 17th, we’ll be seeing clients at our new location:
📍 80 Liberty Street — Bolivar, NY

This space is centrally located, making it easily accessible for families from Olean, Wellsville, Cuba, and the surrounding areas — a convenient and welcoming setting for in-person therapy.

This leased office space allows us to welcome families in person and continue providing personalized, high-quality care. Virtual sessions are still available, too! 💻

We’re also excited to share that a new Speech-Language Pathologist will be joining our team soon! We’re currently in the process of completing her credentialing with insurance providers, and we’ll share more details as everything is finalized.
