Children’s Wisconsin recently hosted a quarterly Town Hall, moderated by Children's Wisconsin President & CEO, Gil Peri, and the Alliance’s food security initiative was featured! 🍎
The food security initiative brings together health care, food access and community organizations to improve health outcomes for children and families. Current work includes placing FoodShare Outreach navigators at Children's Wisconsin clinics and partnering with groups like Rooted & Rising - Washington Park and the Women, Infants, and Children Program.
Did you know more than 70,000 kids in Wisconsin see a physician each year but never visit a dentist?
That's why medical dental integration matters and why we're highlighting it for !
If you're a clinic looking to add a dental hygienist to your team to reach kids who might otherwise miss out on oral health care, check out our Medical Dental Integration Implementation Guide! https://ow.ly/mQGO50Xv89t

Happy National Rural Health Day!
Nearly 61 million Americans live in rural areas. Health care workers in these places work hard each day to give their neighbors the care they need. Today, we celebrate the providers, leaders and communities that make rural health care strong.
We're grateful to work with champions like our Advisory Board member, Jeremy Levin, MHA who helps improve rural health all year long.

It's ! 💜
Babies, toddlers and preschoolers can have big feelings, and that's completely normal! When tough moments arise, modeling a simple deep breath does double duty. It helps you stay grounded as a caregiver while teaching your little one how to regulate.
Our partners at Wisconsin Alliance for Infant Mental Health have created micro learning videos that explore the impact of connection and regulation for young children. Together, let's take that deep breath and support the emotional well-being of Wisconsin's youngest learners!
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The Alliance's injury prevention and death review initiative recently participated in Aurora West Allis Medical Center's Baby Safety Fair this October!
In partnership with Machelle Minster, a dedicated labor and delivery nurse, we educated new and expecting parents on safe sleep practices for babies.
We're honored that post-event surveys ranked our safe sleep booth as the most valuable resource at the fair. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to our partners for making this event such a success!
Did you know? Every two minutes, a preventable injury-related death occurs in the US. That's why injury prevention matters and why it deserves our attention. 💚
Are you ready to breathe easier? The Great American Smokeout on Nov. 20 can be your fresh start!
For families managing asthma, going smoke-free isn't just a health goal, it's a game changer. To***co smoke remains one of the most common asthma triggers, especially for kids who are exposed to secondhand and thirdhand smoke at home.
Whether you're ready to quit, or supporting someone who is, the Great American Smokeout offers the resources and community you need to take that first step. Your lungs (and your loved ones) will thank you.
