Social Pediatric Therapy Welcome to Social Pediatric Therapy - Speech Occupational ABA! Below is an introduction to our team, services, and specialties! Stay tuned for more updates!

We are excited to introduce our growing practice in the heart of West Bloomfield, providing essential therapy services for children. At Social Pediatric Therapy, we focus on fostering communication and developmental skills to help children thrive. Meet Our Founders
Amber Yaldo, M.A., CCC-SLP
Amber is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with years of experience at renowned institutions such as Kaufman Children’s Center and Oxford Recovery Center. She holds a Bachelor's in Communication Science & Disorders and a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from Wayne State University. After stepping away from Kaufman in February 2024, Amber offered free screenings at St. Thomas Montessori, which helped grow her caseload. Now, she leads the therapy operations at Social Pediatric Therapy and continues her mission to support children’s communication and developmental needs. Alexander Yaldo
Alex comes from a background in Hotel Management and Commercial Real Estate, with degrees in Economics and Management from the University of Michigan. He is responsible for all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Social Pediatric Therapy running smoothly—from overseeing renovations and hiring to managing accounting and marketing. Alex and Amber were married in September 2022, and their shared vision has turned Social Pediatric Therapy into a growing resource for the West Bloomfield community. Why Early Intervention Matters
Early intervention plays a crucial role in a child’s development, particularly when it comes to speech and language delays. Research shows that children who receive therapy early on are more likely to overcome challenges and develop essential skills for communication and daily living. At Social Pediatric Therapy, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and evidence-based approaches to help children reach their full potential. If your child is experiencing delays in speech, language, motor skills, or social communication, don't hesitate to contact us. We offer personalized evaluations to identify the best course of action for your child’s development. Population We Serve

“I know what they want” means fewer chances to communicate.
Pause, wait, and let them try!
You might be surprised by what they’re capable of! 💬🩵

Play is one of the most powerful ways children learn.

In play-based ABA therapy, therapists follow the child’s interests and turn everyday play into opportunities to build communication, social skills, and independence.

🧩✨ Pegged puzzles are great toys for working on fine motor and visual motor skills… but with a few simple additions, you can target even MORE skills! 💪🧠

Turn this simple puzzle into a full developmental workout with these fun ideas:

1️⃣ Unwrapping pieces helps to build fine motor skills and works on coordination of both hands needed for daily tasks. 🎁

2️⃣ Laying on your belly helps build core strength needed for gross motor and fine motor play. 🤸

3️⃣ Take out of a sandwich bag to practice life skills. 🥪

4️⃣ Sensory bins add increased tactile input for sensory integration. Hide the pieces to also target visual skills 👀 🌾

5️⃣ Bend down to put pieces in the board to practice balance. This helps with picking up toys off the floor. 🧍‍♂️

💙✨ **One toy. So many skills. That’s the power of play-based!

Things that just make sense in a pediatric therapy clinic ✨
Every space in our clinic was intentionally designed to support children with different sensory needs, learning styles, and developmental stages.

From calm spaces to high-energy movement areas, we create environments where kids can feel comfortable, regulated, and ready to learn.
