Person discovers looser movement after their first Stretch Mobility Coach Session

03/31/2026

Have you ever stepped out of bed in the morning and felt that stabbing pain in your heel the moment your foot hit the floor? Or that stiffness that takes the first few minutes of walking to shake off?

It is awful. But it goes away after you stretch or start moving around. So you thought you did everything that you could do.

Maybe someone told you it was plantar fasciitis. So you searched youtube for stretches, you foam rolled your calves and after doing that it felt a little better.

But it came back. So you stretch and foam roll more. Maybe you are at the beginning of this journey trying to figure out what your experiencing. But you never fully understand why your heel hurts in the morning. I want to break this down for you.

In today's podcast, I am going to show you exactly why your heel hurts in the morning, so you can do something that works to take your pain away for good.

Check it out at the link in our bio.

The low back is a pretty complex area.

Most of you are doing stretching or mobility drills to attempt to improve any tightness or restriction, but when your joints are in a restricted state and you go to do a mobility drill, the movement is not going to come from your hips. It's going to come from your low back. This compensation for poor mobility can not only lead to pain in the low back, but also cause your back muscles go into what we call a silent shutdown cycle.

When the joints in the lumbar spine and hips are no longer working like they're supposed to, the bones are not gliding naturally in the hips. So more movement is required from the pelvis and the low back to compensate. Those compensation patterns are going to turn off the deep muscles that support the spine, and all of the muscles in the hip and in the actual core are going to start locking down.

And when that happens, tthe joint and the muscle go into a state of decline. This is the time to see a Stretch Mobility Coach.

A Stretch Mobility Coach will find out specifically which joints are starting to decline, and which muscles have been shut off by the nervous system. We'll do testing to show you your movement age, your flexibility health score, and help you reverse that, gain mobility in the hips like they're supposed to be, and then gain the needed stability both in those deep muscles and in the superficial muscles to support both your hips and low back.

Then you'll start feeling your body moving better. Because, with a Stretch Mobility Coach, you are actually protecting your movement health.. Follow us for more learning and educational materials and click the link in our bio to keep your movement health at its peak.

If your core still feels weak no matter how hard you’re training, the problem usually isn’t effort 👉 it’s mobility.

When your spine doesn’t have healthy mobility (that natural glide of the bones), your deep core muscles actually shut down. And here’s the kicker: they don’t just ‘turn back on’ from doing more core work.

That’s why you can plank, crunch, and lift all day long and still feel like your core isn’t getting stronger. Your body will just keep compensating with bigger muscles while the deep stabilizers stay asleep.

The real first step to building core strength? Resetting your mobility so those deep muscles can fire again. Once they do, you’ll finally start to see the strength gains you’ve been working so hard for.

What is a Stretch Mobility Coach?

A Stretch Mobility Coach is a proactive provider that is specially trained in The Stretch Method.

That means we work with people in a proactive way to keep you away from the healthcare system. Away from surgery. We keep the way that you move healthy so that you can move no matter if you're 4, 10, 18, 50, 60, or 90. We look at your body in a different way.

When you come in for your first visit, we score the mobility of each of your joints and joint capsules. Providing you with a Mobility Health Score. With this health score, we can tell you how your joints are moving and if they're moving in a healthy way or if they're in a state of decline.

When joints are in a state of decline, they start to tighten up, sending you into what we call the silent shutdown cycle. And that silent shutdown cycle actually turns off the muscles that support the joint.

Left untreated, this leads you on the direct path to chronic pain, chronic injuries, surgery, and ultimately decreased health.

A Stretch Mobility Coach is going to test for that decline before it becomes a problem. And we're going to find which joints are moving well, which joints are not moving well, and then we're going to start a reversal process.

So you can get back to feeling and moving your best, without pain, tightness or surgery.

"Do you sit at a desk, type, use your mouse, and notice tightness in your hands? The issue isn’t your desk setup or just getting older. It’s actually that the joints in your thumb have been overused and have become locked down. Your nervous system locks them down due to the strain and overuse.

You can do a quick test by touching your thumb over to the base of your pinky. If you can’t touch it comfortably and it feels tight, that joint capsule is already showing signs of decline. You can also see signs of decline in this area.

The good news is both of these areas are completely reversible if you catch it early. If you’re noticing tightness, you can see a Stretch Mobility Coach to check your joints and get your Mobility Health Score. From there, we can start restoring mobility before it leads to pain, arthritis, or other degenerative changes.

If you have ever experienced the stiffness or tightness in your hip without pain, and you went to see your chiropractor to fix it or your doctor to see what is going on, this podcast is for you.

You may have gotten x-rays and were told nothing is wrong. Have you experienced that? Well, your doctor did not miss something. Your PT did not fail you. Your chiropractor was not wrong. They were looking for dysfunction and they did not find it because dysfunction had not happened yet with your hip. That is good news. Because in most cases we wait for pain to seek treatment. Our healthcare system does not test for hip joint decline. What is happening in your hip is joint decline. It’s Silent, it's progressive, and it is measurable.

Did you know we help golfers? ⛳️

Golf isn’t just about your swing... it’s about your movement.

When your joints don’t glide properly, or your flexibility declines, your swing speed, accuracy, and recovery all take a hit.

At The Stretch Mobility Coach, we help golfers restore healthy movement at the joint level so you can generate more power, reduce stiffness, and move pain-free on and off the course.

We loved meeting the golfers and doing our unlock demos a couple of weeks ago at Wetherington Country Club!

That tight feeling isn’t from a lack of stretching.. it’s from unhealthy joint movement. When your bones aren’t gliding properly inside the joint capsule, your muscles stay tense no matter how much you stretch.

That’s where The Stretch Method® comes in. It restores healthy movement from the inside out so flexibility lasts.

I had a young lady come in that is 39 years old. She was having some tightness in her wrist when she works out she knows she's stiff and she just doesn't feel like she's getting the benefit from working out like she feels like she should, almost like she's working harder than she should have to work.

Now she sees a chiropractor regularly. She goes and gets massage therapy and normally she's pretty healthy as far as health care standards are concerned.

Now I saw her and her movement health score was a 27 out of 100. Her upper zone joints, the joints from her waist up, she was 33% healthy. The others were in a state of decline.

Her core zone, which she had had some back issues, but she didn't have any problems doing anything and she didn't have any current pain, but she knows that her core is weak. Her core joints, the joints in her lumbar, spine, and pelvis, she had zero of those joints that were healthy.

When it comes to mobility, her lower body, she had 29% of her joints healthy. Her movement age was 68, which is 29 years older than what she currently is.

We got her moving better and improved her score significantly.

We can do the same for you! Link in bio to schedule your first session
