Lexington Health has unanimously named a new president and CEO. Kirk Jenkins, senior vice president of the Physician Network at Lexington Health, will succeed Tod Augsburger, current president and CEO, on January 1, 2026.

Join us in welcoming Monica A. Smith, DO, to Lexington Women’s Care White Knoll. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Smith has more than 10 years of experience caring for women at all stages of their lives.

Dr. Smith graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Virginia University in Morgantown. She then completed her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and her obstetrics and gynecology residency at West Virginia University, serving as chief resident. She’s a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology with additional training in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Smith proudly joins the board-certified physicians and highly skilled clinicians at Lexington Women’s Care to offer a full range of women’s services from initial exams and childbirth to menopause and beyond. We were previously opening at 9 am but this has changed.

Our staff are calling patients to notify you that we are closed and will reschedule your appointment when we are back in the office this afternoon.
