Do you feel your best when you have a moment to relax?

I know I do! It’s hard to get a moments quiet when you have kiddos so I try these:

1. Meditate while walking - clear my mind don’t bring the phone with
2. Write in a gratitude journal a summary of the day and what I am grateful for
3. Eat mindfully - slow down and enjoy meals

Lounging with my anywhere joggers. These are perfect for walking, stretching and lounging!

Memorial quilt ❤️keeping my dads memory alive.

I have never wanted to talk about death let alone on Instagram but maybe that is part of the problem, it’s ok to talk about it and it’s ok to be sad, if it makes people uncomfortable then 🙄🤷‍♀️. Death is a part of life and we all have or will experience loss of loved ones.

I knew I wanted to make a memorial quilt for my dad as I’ve been giving him tshirts from everywhere I go for years and he wore them all!

I wanted to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to for making this amazing memorial quilt. It turned out better than I could have imagined!
It is the most meaningful and priceless gift I have and hold it dear to my heart.

What’s your ‘why’?

Mine is my babe, I want to have energy to chase him around and dance, and play!

Is always easier said than done when trying to live a healthy lifestyle and I know this but I always comeback to my ‘why’

What is your favorite time of day?
I equally like my ‘me alone time’ and watching sweet moments with baby + dad.

Our baby LOVES books so he was so excited for touch and feel series! They are fun and interactive for him with little rubber patches throughout the books.

My Story

Maggie began her yoga journey on the ocean practicing SUP (stand up paddle board) in San Diego, CA, being on the water moving through asanas proved to calm and relax the mind. After practicing on land and water she wanted to learn more about yoga to share with others and completed 200 hour RYT in Mexico in 2015. This course was the foundation for creating a light hearted restorative sequence to share with others. Since then Maggie has continued trainings such as: SUP yoga teacher training (25 hour) with Floating Yogi’s in Carlsbad, CA, 90 Monkeys Advanced Teacher Training: How to Teach Students with Tight Bodies and Injuries with Amy Ippoliti and Tymi Howard workshops; Adjustments, Inversions, and Bhakti in Auckland, NZ

My story and why I started practicing/teaching yoga:

I spent over ten years dealing with anger, grief, and depression. When two of my friends passed away in tragic accidents at the age of 20 I bottled in grief and anger, I relived hearing the news, my last moments with them, and what if that didn't happen. My mind was never still, I was living in the past and I was angry this happened.

Finally I found a sense of calm and happiness on the water, it was soothing and I made stand up paddle-boarding a part of my meditation to heal. This led to trying SUP yoga and falling in love with flowing through asanas on the water. Taking my practice from water to land was only natural and I continued to work on myself from within. Slowing the breath and living in the moment helped me to gradually let go of grief and anger.
