Good morning!! Not in sequential order of our adventures the other day, but we ended our day at Kat Von D black tulip display. The tulips are very beautiful, but I was more interested in seeing the Schenck mansion in real life!! Just admiring it from a distance, I could hear it telling me stories of the past. It is absolutely stunning and brimming with history and hauntings! Oh to investigate there is a dream I will keep dreaming!

Yesterday I kept my promise to myself and said yes to a day of adventure!!! I did have moments of anxiety of being gone “playing” all day, but I pushed them aside.

The day started as I picked up Kathy Cormican in Versailles and made the drive to Charlestown State Park and ultimately the abandoned amusement park of Rose Island Resort. We met up with alphagalgardengirl to explore and do a little mushroom hunting. This was a paradise for me as there was so much to take pics of, so much to forage and a little bit of haunting!!! I definitely know the team will be going back there to investigate!!

Good morning! One of the most special residents at Red Wolf Sanctuary is their beautiful Bear. And no I don’t remember her name haha. She is their only Bear right now and has a very luxurious life after her original owner thought it would be a good idea to have a pet Bear in an apartment.

Speaking of waking the Bear, yesterday, I attempted to start and use my lawnmower and it started right up and we only got caught in the rain twice while mowing haha. I mowed tall so as not to mow off all of my medicinal “weeds”. I was so happy and proud of my 16 year old mower!! I also spent hours digging Poison Hemlock. What a horrible plant and infestation. As a biennial, I’m confident I’ll conquer it though. It’s not something to take lightly. I have about a 1/4 acre of it in one spot.

Today I’m meeting new friends with a current friend at Rose Island Resort at Charlestown, IN State Park. It looks like a paranormal and nature lovers dream!! Hopefully we find some Morels!

Happy Full Moon 🌕 in Libra ♎️! They refer to this as the Pink Moon 🌕 because of Spring. This Moon 🌕 peaks at 10:11pm ET tonight.

This Moon 🌕 is about setting boundaries or letting go of partnerships or relationships that you have healed. This will allow you to build new relationships and partnerships that align with your vision, nurture you and bring balance so you can grow and expand your vision!!!

Morning Moondrops!! This morning at 11am we have a very special premiere of an episode at our own team member, Elaine's, Parent's house. So much activity! We did confirm who they felt was there but we also discovered a male Spirit they didn't quite know. Of course he was in the furnace room in the basement haha. This episode proves that the building doesn't have to be old, it doesn't have to be connected to the structure, it doesn't have to be nighttime and dark out and the Spirits can be someone you know.

Today is one of the most powerful days of the year astrologically! Saturn 🪐 in Aries ♈️ is sextile Pluto in Aquarius ♒️ all while Jupiter is in Cancer ♋️!

What does all of this mean you ask? When planets are sextile it means you must activate something. Saturn is your structure and discipline in Aries which is about action and beginnings. Pluto is transformation in Aquarius which is about your vision and revolution! Jupiter is about expansion in Cancer which is about nurturing. So what part of your vision and structure do you want to transform to better nurture yourself?! Take action now!!! This isn’t a quick or short term action. This is a long term plan so choose wisely says this Great Horned Owl!!

This Kitchen Witch 🧙 is ecstatic! Most of you will look at this pic and think what is the big deal hahaha! If you have been with me since last Spring, you know I started a neighborhood garden. I grew up with a huge garden where we grew just about everything we ate. The system swallowed me when I entered Corporate America and I lost the connection to the Earth to some extent.

Well our garden 🪴 was phenomenal last year!! We implemented new things my family had never done in the past. We used coffee grounds, eggshells, cardboard, Alpaca poo and a turmeric mixture. We learned a lot. We learned we didn’t need any chemicals and our garden thrived.

This pic is of our 36’ x 4’ x 18” raised bed! I have never had a raised bed other than our herb garden. What is so special about this bed is that it is made from reclaimed wood we were going to burn. It is layered with sticks from my parent’s yard, wood chips I had delivered free last year that have broken down nicely, leftover straw I acquired for our wildflowers last year and then a layer of aged Horse manure from one of the neighbors. We have more aged manure coming from another neighbor and more Alpaca poo coming. I now remember how spoiled I was growing up with horses and endless aged Horse manure haha. With the help of one of the other neighbors and his tractor, this process was very easy. And you should’ve seen them building the bed!! We have another neighbor bringing us a load of topsoil to finish the bed. And then we will put the fence up around it.

As you can see, our cardboard and leaf 🍁 layer has worked well and we will not be tilling this year. Under the cardboard are all of last years plant roots as well. Our soil will be amazing and require no back breaking work and the weeds will not grow either! Stay tuned!

This Kitchen Witch 🧙 is getting so excited!! After a very cold and long Winter 🥶, I’m so excited to begin foraging this Spring! If you are new here, I started my foraging adventure last Spring and I learned so much about all of the nutritious plants 🌱 right in my yard that I was used to pulling out! I went from pulling these weeds out to harvesting and using them to replace all of the supplements in my daily routine! This not only saved me money, but I now do not put those synthetic supplements in my body. I have never felt better!! The two biggest life changers are Violet, for lymphatic health, and Purple Dead Nettle, for allergies. I will start eating them in my morning smoothies and on salads again while they are available. I did make tinctures out of them for the off season and those worked so well. I also made a Turmeric tincture for anti inflammatory and Teasel Root tincture for bones, muscles and joints. I’d say the Teasel Root is the hardest to harvest. I plan to harvest the second year plant this Spring while the ground isn’t as hard.

I cannot stress enough how easy it is to take control of your own life and health. I know my Drs look at me with a “Bless her heart” attitude, but I don’t care!!! Everything we put in and on our body affects us!

The very first pic I took at Red Wolf Sanctuary yesterday, was of this gorgeous Fox! Captured my heart immediately!! But when they say Fox stink they aren’t joking. We originally thought a Skunk was there!!
