Orla and I had a great time jumping this weekend. We had three great rounds and one humbling round. Thanks for this video of one of our best rounds to date for a 4th place. Thank you for all of your hard work and training. Thanks to my dad and .arnell for the graduation present of two horse shows before I start my internship. Thanks to my mom for cheering me on in everything I do. Thanks to Orla for trying her best, keeping me humble, and feeling better than ever. We are warmed up and ready to win at the next one. ❤️🤠

Block 2: Equine Theriogenology with Dr. Hayna at PUVH
Just finished week 2 of block 2 and wanted to photo dump before entering the weekend of physical exams and being on-call. This is block 2/17 of my equine tracking clinical rotations. I’m going to try to post about each one!

I have learned so much in such a short period about breeding management and have performed several procedures that are starting to make me feel like a legitimate veterinarian! Dr. Hayna has trusted me to perform transrectal palpations and ultrasounds, vaginoscopy exams, uterine lavages, and my first AI in a mare! On Monday I look forward to assisting with an embryo transfer and re-checking a mare helped get pregnant on block 1! Hope to get a picture with owner permission on Monday with this sweet mare because she is so gorgeous. I at least want one picture with my first patients while on clinics in my uniform 🤠🤓

I am excited to gain more experience with racehorses and advance my lameness exam skills on this block. Livy and Binx are here with me staying in the hospital student apartment for the next 3 weeks! Last week concluded my Pre-Clinical DVM Student position working full-time at Purdue Large Animal Hospital. I learned so much about farm animal medicine in addition to neonatal foal care. I gained confidence in my knowledge and feel more prepared for clinical rotations next year. Here are some pictures of the massive new facility I had the privilege of working and learning in. Swipe to the end to see a surprise 🎃

Dreaming of warm weather, ponies, and palm trees 💭🌴🐴 I keep telling Orla one day we will be snowbirds, but right now I need to focus on school so I can pay for her luxurious lifestyle.

Happy birthday Jesus! Wishing everyone a very happy holiday season. We had a great Christmas Eve with the fam getting dinner in Carmel, opening gifts, and finding the pickle in the tree! (A yearly tradition that I always win) 🎄❣️

Our Story

AKA Equine Performance LLC strives to provide mobile therapeutic and nutritional services that mindfully support the needs of the modern day sport horse. Certified Magna Wave PEMF therapy provider Aili Arnell strives to enhance the horse’s comfort, overall wellness, and performance. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, PEMF, decreases recovery time by optimizing the body’s natural healing processes to increase circulation and blood oxygenation, enhance muscle function, decrease inflammation, heal bone, and reduce stress.

Along with complementary PEMF therapeutics, AKA encourages organic, non-GMO, whole food nutrition for the comprehensive wellness and comfort of the horse. Balanced, personalized New Country Organics nutrition plans provide holistic wellness and longevity. Aili always aims to work in coordination with the owner, veterinarian, farrier, and trainer by completing a thorough initial evaluation prior to treatment. This allows for the best understanding of each patient’s medical history and provides a comprehensive picture of the horse’s health.

Aili Arnell is a life-long horse lover who has ridden, shown, groomed, and managed stables on the A-AA hunter/jumper circuit. She has also had the opportunity to work as an equine veterinary technician at two prestigious equine veterinary clinics on the east coast in New York and Wellington, FL. AKA Equine Performance LLC is currently based in Sudbury, MA and is willing to travel up to 100 miles for patients.
