It's Small Business Saturday! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Abby, and I started The Scripted Post in 2019.
I always loved sending mail. Then I realized mail could be art. And I stumbled across this entire community of snail mail enthusiasts who also happen to be magnificent people.
I found a true love in designing and creating with paper. When I can do it for a good cause, well . . . there's nothing better.

I love seeing the cards you love the most . . . and "Tabbies in Hyde Park" has been a top seller. It seems like a good time to talk about Louis Wain.
He was an English artist from the nineteenth century who loved cats, and his art depicted cats doing things that people did, like riding bikes.
He was committed to a psychiatric hospital in 1924, and by then had such a following that his supporters lobbied for him to move from a "pauper's ward" to Bethlehem Hospital. He continued drawing cats until his death in 1939.
The trajectory of his work, from anthropomorphized cats to psychedelic cats, is fascinating.
