This gal has a full time job, newly engaged planning a wedding AND is working on her masters degree. She wakes up every morning at 4AM to get to the gym because she prioritizes herself + her goals. Don’t tell me you don’t have time.

🖤Only 90 days in & she has already lost inches around her waist AND down 30+lbs. But to me that’s not even the best part. The best part is what you don’t see from from these photos:
• cultivating a better relationship with food. eating way more than she thought she ever could to reach her goals.

Here are some small goals you can set this week:
- Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night this week.
- Drink 100oz+ each day this week.
- Get 10k steps in each day. Your non-exercise activity time matters more than you realize!!!
- Prioritize fueling your body! Stop skipping meals!!
- Workout 3x this week
- Practice self care. Read a book. Journal. Pray.

Enough with the no carb diets. For starters, it is extremely unsustainable & once you re-introduce carbs back into your diet you will most likely gain back all the weight you “lost”. You should never take any macronutrient out of your diet completely. I don’t say this to be hurtful, I say this because I care about YOU! Carbs are your FRIEND.

6 quick reasons why you should be eating your carbs:
• Carbs are your main source of energy. If you are not eating carbs, no wonder you are feeling burnt out & exhausted 24/7?! Your body has 0 energy from the foods you are consuming.
• Carbs fuel your brain, kidneys, heart muscles & central nervous system.
• Carbs are essential for serotonin production. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter for mood regulation. Feeling cranky? Having mood swings? Eat your carbs, you’ll feel happier :)
• Carbs affect your cortisol levels. Cortisol is your sleep + stress hormone. Don’t know how to manage stress levels? Eat your carbs.
• Carbs help regulate blood sugar. Without carbs your blood sugar can drop too low which can lead to a number of health issues.
• Fiber is a carb source which helps with digestive health. Want better gut health? Eat your fiber + carbs.

I am not telling you to binge eat on crappy carbs now. What I am telling you is that it is crucial to eat nutrient dense carbs for the sake of your health. You can still reach your goals while eating carbs, I promise you that.

Here are a few examples of nutrient dense carb sources: fruits, beans, rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, veggies, nuts, yogurt, and soooooooo many more.

Carbs are not the enemy…those who are telling you to cut carbs out of your diet are the enemy.

You should not be training 7x a week. Why?
Rest days:
• Gives your muscles a chance to grow
• Prevents injury
• Avoid burn out / over training
• Repair tissues
• Replenishes glycogen stores

If you are hitting a plateau, feel burnt out or tired constantly, you should take a step back & take your dang rest days. Don’t feel guilty about it - they are crucial to taking care of your body. 🫶🏽

When I began my fitness journey I assumed I had to train 2x a day, no days off, consume 1200< calories, restrict myself, and the list goes on.

❌Then I became extremely burnt out, binge ate, plateaued, constantly exhausted, and my hormones were insanely unbalanced.

⭐️ Don’t make the same mistakes I once did. Listen to your body. Take care of your body. Fuel your body. Move your body.

You can reach your goals whilst still enjoying your life. This is not about shrinking yourself to the smallest version you can possibly be, it is about cultivating a healthy and sustainable training + wellness lifestyle.
