The Andrew Dougherty Vision Foundation (ADVF) is proud to serve communities in Morocco as part of our ongoing commitment to eliminating preventable blindness worldwide.

Founded by DLV Vision’s Medical Director, Dr. Paul Dougherty, the Foundation leads global mission efforts to restore sight and strengthen access to quality eye care. During this December mission, ADVF partnered with local medical teams (AMMS) to provide cataract surgeries and clinical consultations for more than 230 patients, donate critical supplies including intraocular lenses, and deliver hands-on training to support long-term ophthalmic care in the region.

Together, we are creating sustainable, sight-saving impact in communities with limited access to eye care.

This 13-year-old girl from Morocco couldn’t see until she met Dr. Paul Dougherty.

Her world had gone dark far too soon. Cataracts caused by uncontrolled diabetes took away her ability to read, see the board at school, and recognize the faces of the people she loves most.

More than anything, she wanted one simple thing: to see the face of her mother and father.

Through the Andrew Dougherty Vision Foundation, we’re honored to help make that possible—restoring not just sight, but opportunity, connection, and hope, one patient at a time.
