John’s life was shaped by perseverance and growth. Over time, he found peace in life’s quiet moments, especially time spent fishing, sharing moments with those he loved, and the comfort of his beloved cat, Ticket. He carried a strong, enduring love for his children and family, and that love remained constant throughout his life. John will be remembered for his resilience, his gentle heart in later years, and the way he continued moving forward.

Jim lived a life defined by hard work, adventure, and deep devotion to his family. A Navy Seabee, heavy equipment operator, and longtime owner of Schroeder Excavating, he loved Alaska, hunting, snowmobiling, and exploring the open road. His stories, grit, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Teacher, U.S. Army Veteran, landscaper, world traveler, and friend to all he met, Ed lived a life rooted in curiosity, hard work, and joy. Whether in the classroom, planting trees, restoring the Thirsty Whale in Minocqua, or swapping stories on the deck at sunset, he poured his heart into every chapter. His legacy of service, adventure, and kindness will continue to ripple through all who knew him.
