Your workouts , nutrition habits , sleep and stress management all compound over time. ⁣

All of these elements impact our mood , body composition, insulin sensitivity, muscle mass, bone density, likelihood of disease, longevity , and stress resilience over time.⁣

So why wouldn’t we spend time and money on the one home we’ll always have ? 🖤⁣

So many women were taught that exercise = punishment. ⁣

Sustainable fitness isn’t about intensity, burning calories, forcing motivation - or how much you sweat. ⁣

Challenging yourself without it feeling like torture , and finding ways to move that actually fit your life is possible.

You don’t need to “love the gym.”⁣
You just need movement that works FOR YOU.⁣

So many of my clients come to me with a poor or “ meh” relationship towards fitness - but time after time they develop a happier , healthier relationship with movement. ⁣
Because my method is not about punishment or extremes. ⁣

We’re building realistic routines through mindful movement. 🤍 ⁣

It’s dark at 4:30pm, motivation dips and the urge to hibernate takes over - but these micro habits can keep us grounded, and prevent the winter blahs.⁣ ⁣

Protein forward breakfast - ⁣sets your blood sugar and energy for the day. ⁣

20+ minutes daily movement⁣ - consistent exercise during the shorter days is a necessary dopamine boost. ⁣

Magnesium tea before bed ⁣- improves sleep quality, and calms the nervous system.⁣

Moisturize like it’s your job⁣ - indoor heating and cold air dehydrate the skin. Extra hydrating skincare is your best friend.⁣

Walk breaks > scroll breaks ⁣ - walking soothes the nervous system - don’t let the cold weather deter you from getting your steps in.⁣

Pilates candlelight flow⁣ - gentle movement that can double as meditation. ⁣

Move bedtime up by 20-30 minutes ⁣- working on this one over here! ⁣

Bone broth or soup ⁣- always comforting, mineral-rich, and supports gut health during the colder months. ⁣

Reading in bed ⁣- so much better for our sleep quality than ending the day on a screen.⁣

Microhabits practiced consistently make the season softer, and more enjoyable.⁣

5 High Protein & Fiber Snacks I eat on repeat - ⁣

1. Roasted chickpeas with everything but the bagel seasoning. Crunchy, salty, and high in protein. (Bake chickpeas in oven for about 30-45 minutes after seasoning.)⁣

2. Greek yogurt parfait. Plain greek yogurt with a tsp of raw honey, berries or goji berries. ⁣
To up the fiber sprinkle on a tbsp of ground flax. ⁣

3. Apple slices served with a tbsp nut butter mixed with 2 tbsp greek yogurt for dipping. ⁣

4. Edamame - super simple and one cup has 18-20 g protein , and 8 grams of fiber. (Trader Joe’s sells a pre shelled version.)⁣

5. Turkey roll ups with a side of hummus and finn crisp high fiber sourdough rye thins.⁣ I like the brand.


We want our snacks to serve as a bridge between meals . Meaning they should fuel and energize us. So many processed foods on the market packing sneaky sugar , sodium & saturated fat - and end up leaving us feeling more depleted . ⁣
A little planning ahead when it comes to snacks goes a long way. 🙌🏼⁣

😅😮‍💨reminder to give yourself credit for all you’re doing. ⁣

it’s easy to get sucked into the more, more, more mindset on social media. ⁣

and yes as women we can multitask and juggle a whole lot of balls at once, but don’t forget to take care of yourself along the way.⁣

a healthy lifestyle means balancing our responsibilities with rest, nourishment, feel good movement - and finding the humor in it all.⁣

WIA - healthy but not too healthy. Sharing for inspiration (never comparison.) ⁣

As a Nutritionist I advise my clients to focus on 4 things at meals : ⁣
• protein ⁣
• fiber ⁣
• healthy fat ⁣
• unrefined carbs ⁣

This combo will keep your blood sugar stabilized, energy level up, and metabolism humming. ⁣

When in doubt start with your protein and fiber first - the combination of the two contribute most significantly to satiety. ⁣

When we focus on quality food we don’t need to obsssively calorie count.⁣🤌🏼⁣

And we’re all about healthy, delicious meals but most days they need to be quick (no mile long ingredient lists ) because between work , kids , managing a social life , and a home - we’re all busy . ⁣😅

* some days I have a snack between lunch and dinner, but on this particular day I didn’t feel like I needed one. ⁣

fitness instructors, and pretty much all content creators have been there at some point. ⁣😜⁣

with anything in life (and on social media !) there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes. ⁣

whether it’s filming a workout where the lighting keeps messing with you and you’re tripping over kids toys - or the backend admin, bookkeeping, hiring etc etc of your small business. ⁣

when I see something online that looks aesthetically pleasing or is super well executed I remember that often these videos involve multiple takes, and preparation. ⁣

the same goes for the overnight success stories we hear. Steve Jobs said “if you look really closely, most overnight successes took a really long time.”⁣

Wellness truths - that are worth paying attention to. ⁣🫢⁣

1. You probably don’t need another supplement or GREENS powder. Especially if you haven’t nailed down the basics of good health - quality nutrition, consistent weekly workouts, and sleep hygiene.⁣ These three things will have a much bigger impact than any supplement.⁣

The wellness/nutrition/health industry is a trillion dollar industry for a reason - there will always be companies wanting to sell you something. ⁣
Sure some of it’s beneficial, but a lot isn’t.⁣🙄⁣

2. You CAN eat whatever you want - just not all at once. ⁣

No one food group will make you overweight or unhealthy. ⁣
But consistently overeating and exceeding your body’s weight maintenance caloric intake may. ⁣

3. Low impact workouts like pilates and walking are incredible , but that shouldn’t be all you do - strength training and cardio are still necessary. ⁣ 👏🏼 ⁣

Strength training changes a woman’s body like nothing else - it preserves metabolic health (essential for hormonal balance), and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. ⁣

Cardio is important for heart health, aids weights management, and enhances muscle protein synthesis among other benefits.⁣

A balanced workout routine will include all three.⁣

4. If your healthy lifestyle, and wellness routine are stressing you out they aren’t healthy. ❌⁣

Following every biohacker or wellness trend, overexercising or obsessing over each morsel of food you eat isn’t a “healthy routine” it’s a means to control. ⁣If this is you take a step back and consider what’s actually making you feel good. ⁣

I could write more but didn’t want to overwhelm. Maybe we’ll do a part ✌🏽 ? ⁣
