Most children don’t know how to tell us what stress they’re carrying.
Honestly—most adults don’t either.
Many of us grow up feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or tense in our bodies
without ever knowing why.
We just learn to live with it.
Kids don’t have that language yet.
So their bodies adapt instead.
Stress doesn’t only live in thoughts or emotions.
It lives in the nervous system.
And the nervous system runs through the spine.
That’s why spinal health matters for children.
Not because something is “wrong,”
but because their bodies are still learning what safety feels like.
When the nervous system is supported,
the body doesn’t have to hold everything so tightly.
This isn’t about fixing kids.
It’s about supporting the system underneath it all.
🤍

Supporting the spine and nervous system early
can help the body release what it was never meant to carry alone.

What looks like “nothing changing” 🌱
is often the nervous system rewiring behind the scenes 🧠✨
Safety is learned through repetition , not force
Through compassion , not pressure
Keep showing up — your body remembers 🤍

In Spinal Flow, there is a stage of healing known as heart opening🤍
This is something the practitioner observes and facilitates when the client’s nervous system shows readiness — typically after the spinal wave is able to travel freely through the entire length of the spine 🌊🧠
When that readiness is present, gentle contact at specific access points supports the nervous system in shifting from being led by the mind (stress, control, constant thinking) to being guided by the heart (feeling, intuition, connection) 🤍
This stage is associated with the center of the spine connected to the heart, emotions, love, and relational safety ✨
Some clients experience deeper breathing, warmth or pulsing in the chest, emotional release, or a sense of openness and lightness 🌬️💓
Others experience a quiet calm and softness 🌿
What’s being released isn’t forced —
it’s stored emotional stress the nervous system no longer needs to hold 🫶
Over the past few weeks, closing out one year and stepping into a new one, I’ve had the honor of facilitating heart openings for clients who were ready
to release what no longer serves them and create space for a new beginning 🌅
I’m deeply grateful for the trust this work requires
and humbled every time the body shows us
what healing can look like when safety leads 🤍✨

🤍 Save this if you’re curious about nervous-system-led healing.

A common question I get:
“Why do some people move during a session and others don’t?”
Movement isn’t the goal.
Regulation is.
Some bodies release through movement.
Others release through stillness.
Both are signs the nervous system is responding.

During Spinal Flow sessions, people often notice very different experiences.
Some bodies move, unwind, or respond physically.
Others become very still, relaxed, or deeply calm.
This doesn’t mean one response is “working”
and the other isn’t.
The nervous system releases in the way
that feels safest for that person in that moment.
Movement can be a form of release.
Stillness can be a form of release.
What matters isn’t what it looks like —
it’s whether the system feels safe enough to respond.
Healing meets the body where it is.❤️‍🩹

Sometimes I wonder what those pauses mean.🤔
Are they taking in the air?
Asking for a moment of connection?
Or simply reminding me to slow down too?
Or maybe they just simply don’t feel like following me😂
Who knows.
What I do know is that when I meet them where they are —
without force, without rushing —
we usually move forward together.
I don’t always need the answers.
Being present is often enough.🤍

This is a reminder for you to slow down and pause sometimes. 🫶

Many of us aren’t actually okay —
we’re just used to surviving.
And on some level, we already know this.
We know we feel better after a good night’s sleep.
We know scrolling late into the night leaves us wired and exhausted.
We know grabbing the phone first thing in the morning sets the tone for stress.
We notice it when we drink less coffee,
when we move our body,
when we step outside,
when we walk in the woods and breathe a little deeper.
These small shifts matter more than we think.
Because what they’re really doing
is helping the nervous system feel safer.
And when the body feels safe —
even just a little, and consistently —
it begins to soften.
To regulate.
To heal.
Healing isn’t one big breakthrough.
It’s safety, practiced gently, over time.

So many of us move into the new year still holding tension from the last one.
What if preparation doesn’t look like pushing…
but listening?
This work is about creating safety first — everything else follows💕

The Power of The Spinal Flow Technique

Check out this transformation of one of my clients who I have the absolute pleasure working with❣️ She has experienced profound changes in how her body organizes, balances, and holds itself — not through force, but through nervous system regulation.

As Dr. Carli Axford teaches, scoliosis often develops when the body is under long-term stress or tension.
The nervous system adapts to protect you, creating compensations, rotations, and curves so you can keep functioning.
It’s the body’s intelligent survival response — not something “wrong” with you.

But when the nervous system finally feels safe,
the body can start to unwind those old patterns.

When the nervous system shifts out of survival mode, the body finally has room to reorganize, unwind, and realign in its own way.

It wasn’t force.
It wasn’t pushing.
It wasn’t cracking or manipulating.

The Spinal Flow Technique facilitates her innate wisdom and it was her body doing the real work.✨

As always, results vary.
Everyone’s experience is unique.
But this is what becomes possible
when we work with the body instead of against it.

If you’re curious what this could look like for you,
DM me to set up your initial assessment + Spinal Flow session💕
