Baptist East has "The Daisy Award" for exceptional employees, by nomination. This was appropriately awarded to Brenda Pernell in ICU for her above and beyond care & love she gave to our love one, Annette Roberts! Not only did she go above and beyond for annette, she loved us as a family and carried us through many moments, hours & days of uncertainty. The joyous, robustness of God believing attitude is absolutely not just her talk its her walk. She was absolutely the calm in our storm and as a family we love you MADLY! There are times in life when thank you is just not enough....this is one of those times. The 2nd picture is a screenshot group text message from her children (Jason, Josh, Jill & Torey) when I let them know Brenda won the award. It's a beautiful example of children who are very grateful and blessed to celebrate Mother's Day again with a very much loved mother, Annette!

LOOK who was working hard on flying solo!!!! Today was the first out patient therapy visit and they have already taken her wheels. Such a inspiration to so many and adds much power to a favorite phrase, "Everyone's trial can be a testimony!" Well done Annette Roberts, we love you madly!

Day 51: She's HOME! What a great day to wake up in your comfy bed, surrounded by loved ones after 50 really long days!! Our God is so good! Annette is rocking therapy and continues to amaze us with her progress daily. In fact, we've just made her an admin for this page so she can read all of your messages and posts. 🎉🎉 (The best way to contact Annette is through messages on her personal page.) Thank You so much for your prayers, love and support through the past few weeks. Your encouragement has definitely been a source of strength throughout this journey! We'll keep posting periodically as Annette continues to improve and hit those milestones. Please keep those prayers coming. We love you madly!!

Day 48: The last couple days have been rehab, rehab, rehab! Annette is working hard towards the new goal of GOING HOME ON FRIDAY!!! The outpatient rehab has been set up and equipment needed for home has been ordered. Annette has always said that, "Attitude determines Altitude" and through everything she is has soared with the eagles.

Day 45 update: It's a George Strait kind of night and this hot mess has front row tickets! !!! He loves her madly and she loves him madly right back ♡ Annette had several visits from family and friends today. A great day resting in rehab from the hard work she put in last week and is eager to get back on it bright and early. She has exceeded all goals set for last week and is quickly passing the new goals. Annette's quote of, "im not here for a long time, just a good time" has absolutely applied to her Healthsouth stay. To God be the glory ~ Amen!

Day 43 Update: Annette is making amazing progress! Today she took 95 steps on her own compared to yesterday's 45. You GO girl! God is so good! Love you madly!!
