🦋 The most common reason people search for Tai Chi classes is to help manage a chronic condition. Sometimes their doctor recommends it. Sometimes they’ve read the research.

And it works.

As you learn and practice Tai Chi, your nervous system finally has something different to focus on. The body shifts out of fight-or-flight and into a calmer, regulated state.

And in that state, healing becomes possible.

Tai Chi doesn’t “fix” you overnight. It gently creates the internal environment where your body can do what it was designed to do - restore, repair, and rebalance.

That’s why we see improvements in so many chronic conditions in people who stay consistent with their Tai Chi practice.

If you’re living with a chronic illness, you don’t need more force.
You don’t need to push harder.

You need safety in your nervous system.
You need space to heal.

And your body is not broken, it’s waiting for the right conditions. If you’re ready to create those conditions, I’ll see you in my online class starting this Sunday. Find the link in my Bio.

I always have bunch of them. I am still working on my Hand Stand /not very consistent/, on Pull Ups /I can do one, 3 with palms facing me/ and Dragon Pistol Squat. Why? Because it’s fun!

Show me your moves!

You can lift heavy.
You can take supplements.
You can do “all the right things.”

And still fall.

Balance is a skill.
It’s your nervous system, your joints, your awareness in space.
If you don’t practice it, it fades - quietly and gradually. So, be proactive, there’s no other way to keep good balance than to work on it often.

Most people look for Tai Chi classes to improve balance or to prevent it going downhill.
With Tai Chi, you’ll also get other benefits - stress and pain, reduction, lower inflammation, brain support, …

🦋 My new online Tai Chi program starts on 2/22, Sundays at 1pm CST.

🦋 In person programs will open soon in Lisle, Downers Grove and Naperville.

Yesterday was World Cancer Day.
A reminder of why this work matters so deeply to me đź’›

Cancer is not only a physical diagnosis, it is a human experience that touches the emotional and spiritual layers of life as well. The disease itself, along with treatments, can deeply affect quality of life: pain, fatigue, reduced mobility, loss of vitality, and a sense of disconnection from one’s body and community. Support truly matters.

I meet cancer patients and survivors almost every day.
In Tai Chi and Qigong classes I teach at several cancer support centers.
In quiet, one-on-one moments during energy healing and acupressure sessions at another cancer resources center.

Through gentle movement, breath, and touch, I aim to help calm the nervous system, restore energy, and support people in reconnecting with their bodies. Sometimes healing begins with simply finding a moment of peace.

Holding space for this community is an honor I do not take lightly.

In memory of my father, who passed away from lymphoma, I offer all my cancer patients significant discounts on my classes and energy healing sessions. This work is my way of giving back - with love đź’•

🦋 As a Tai Chi teacher, I get to witness something beautiful, over and over again.

There is a specific moment at the end of every class.

The last movement settles.
The room becomes still.
Breathing slows.

And then… people smile.

Not the polite, social smile.
But the soft, relaxed, almost surprised smile - like their nervous system just remembered how to feel safe again.

Some came in stressed.
Some came tired.
Some carrying things they didn’t talk about.

And yet, after moving together, breathing together, standing in stillness together - something shifts. Shoulders drop. Eyes brighten. Faces soften.

I get a front-row seat to that transformation every single day. That alone is a gift.

🦋 New program will start soon in Lisle /Wednesdays at 7pm/, Downers Grove /Tuesdays at 8am/ and online /Sundays at 1pm CST/. Links in my Bio.
