Blissed by Nature

Blissed by Nature Offering mindful outdoor experiences to connect with your own true nature of bliss Imagine a walking meditation without having to meditate.

Like yoga, mindfully soaking up a forest’s sensory stimuli - the aroma of damp wood, the sound of crunching leaves, the feeling of plush moss, the gurgling of a stream - has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and blood pressure. Let's combine a vigorous hike and off-the-mat yoga to create 90 minutes of well-being for mind, body and soul. In 2021, we also offer 60-minute ZENwalks, a soothing sau

nter that decelerates stress and calms anxiety, while reigniting our senses and reconnecting to nature.

It’s here. Today - Earth Day - The Ground Beneath Our Work is officially in the world.

This book has been growing for years. It started with a question that wouldn’t leave me alone: why do therapists, teachers, and helpers turn to nature for their own healing but rarely bring it into their work with others?

That question became the ROOTED™ framework. The framework became a practice. The practice became a community. And now it’s a book - for licensed clinicians, educators, healthcare workers, chaplains, park rangers, coaches, and anyone whose work involves caring for others.

Inside you’ll find: - The full ROOTED™ model with case stories, research, and session tools - A 30-day implementation plan - Reproducible worksheets - Chapters on eco-grief, neurodiversity, outdoor safety, biophilic design, and more - A foreword by Robert J. Wicks, Psy.D.

Available now in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle.

If this resonates with you, the most helpful thing you can do today is: → Buy a copy → Share this post → Tag someone who needs this in their practice.

Thank you for being part of this. You are the roots.

These wildflowers of the high desert show grit and resilience as they celebrate another spring.
I hope you too find strength when everything feels like too much and you want to quit. Know that you’re stronger than the moment. Allow yourself time to rise slowly.
And surround yourself with friends who have your back - or at least are ready to film it should you fall 🤪😂

Next YOGAhike at is May 2 at 9am. DM for details.

There’s something about walking in nature that gently brings you back to yourself.
No fixing. No striving. Just breath by breath.

This is the kind of space I’m creating more of lately—
slow mornings, mindful movement, quiet trails, meaningful connection.

If this speaks to you, you’ll probably feel at home in what’s coming next. Come walk with me sometime.

A little reminder: you’re allowed to grow slowly and still become something extraordinary 🌳
If this speaks to you, stay a while.

Sometimes the simplest things bring us back to ourselves.
To me, hugging a tree isn’t just playful—it’s grounding. It calms my nervous system, lowers stress, and reconnects me to the steady rhythm of nature.
And in this moment, time stands still. My worries dissipate and I am HERE.
Trees remind us how to stand tall, stay rooted, and keep growing… no matter the season of our lives.
Don’t knock it til you try it.

Come with me on a YOGAhike if you are in Reno-Tahoe or find me on YouTube.

We alternate a hike, off-the-mat yoga, and mindful moments to create vibrant well-being for your stressed nervous system. Find out how to get Blissed by Nature.

On a YOGAhike, you leave the predictability of the studio behind to experience vibrant well-being for your body, mind, and nervous system. Your brain doesn’t just enjoy nature, it responds to it.
We are blending hiking, standing yoga, forest bathing invitations, and mindful pauses to reawaken the senses, calm the nervous system, and help you feel present, connected, and alive.

An outdoor tea ceremony helps to integrate the experience, so you leave calm, centered, and ready for the weekend.

Her compassionate, joyful style is shaped by her own lived experiences with burnout, anxiety, major life transitions, and healing—making her spaces grounded, inclusive, and deeply human.

Dagmar believes that when we fall in love with nature, we naturally want to protect it. We are not apart from nature—we are part of it. 🌿
