Hey Mama!

My availability is booking UP for the remainder of 2022!

I’m excited to announce that as I’m working towards my Lactation Counselor certification I’m offering all my birth doula clients free Lactation Services 😘

My certification as a Lactation Counselor requires so many hours of support for completion. These hours allow me to get comfortable supporting breastfeeding mothers and practice my skills that I’m working so hard to learn.

I want to offer these at no cost to my clients that are interested in breastfeeding. This time is truly invaluable to myself and to you mama.

My remaining Availability for 2022:

September- BOOKED
October- BOOKED
November- 2 clients
December- 1 client

P.S- If you’re already a client of mine and interested in receiving these free lactation services just shoot me a text so I can update your contract!

Something I want each of my clients to remember.

Even when our “contracted” time is up. I will always show up for you in whatever way I can.

5 weeks postpartum, 5 months postpartum, 5 years postpartum.

The trenches of motherhood dig deep sometimes and having a familiar relationship you can reach out too is invaluable.

If it’s just a ear to listen, a resource to pull information from, someone to bounce ideas off of….

You can always reach out.

Have you ever heard of the 5 S’s?

This is a helpful tool for parents when you find that you have an especially fussy baby!

1. Swaddle: some parents choose not to swaddle and THATS OKAY! In the event that you find your baby especially colicky swaddling can help calm them down.

2. Side: after swaddling find a comfortable chair or the edge of the bed. Sit down and place baby on your knees on their side in a side lying position. Or if your comfy standing up cradle baby on their side in your arms. Make sure they are aligned well and nothing is blocking their airway.

3. Shush: the tried and true “shushhhhh shushhhh”

4. Swing: after you’ve swaddled, side lying, shushing, begin to move back and forth in a gentle swinging motion.

5. Suck: either using a paci or while breastfeeding. This is the final addition!

Putting all of these things together can be a helpful tool to ease a fussy baby!

It’s true! What you eat affects your breastmilk!

There is moderate evidence that indicates the flavors ingested in the maternal diet during lactation transmits into the flavor of breastmilk (time depending).

If your diet consist of a lot of garlic, mint, spice, + carrot, it can help shape your baby’s palate as they begin to explore solids!

We all give birth so uniquely and in our own way. Each momma goes through a powerful experience to bring their baby into the world.

Whether you had a redeeming VBAC homebirth, a respectful medicated hospital birth, a planned or unplanned belly birth, or a spontaneous car birth headed to your birth loft- these are all so special.

How did you birth?

As a birth and postpartum doula I offer many services for those who are interested in doula support! Here’s a run down of what my birth doula service looks like!

As your birth doula I will meet with you 2-3 times prenatally to help educate, prepare you for birth, and build rapport with you and your growing family. This can look like grabbing coffee and brunch, going for a long walk on a beautiful day, or even swinging by your house and helping you nest before babe arrives!

This is such a sacred time and including me in your journey is truly a privilege. My goal during this time is to provide you with emotional support and education to help you make the best decisions for yourself. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to talk about your hopes, dreams, or anxieties around birth.

During your pregnancy I am available virtually 24/7. Leading up to your birth I am on call for you starting at 38 weeks. This means that until you give birth I am within a 2 hour driving range and 24/7 on call service when it’s “go time”!

Once you’re in labor and contact me I will arrive to assist you during birth. I will stay for the entirety of your labor until up to 2 hours postpartum. During this time I will assist you in labor positions, coping mechanisms for labor, emotional support for you and your partner, and breastfeeding support.

After birth I will visit you within 24-48 hours to show a friendly face, check in on any needs you have, problem solve any breastfeeding circumstances, or even help refer you to necessary services.

After arriving home I finish up our final visit within 2 weeks postpartum. This is a time for processing your birth story, helping with some light housework if you need, and some final goodbyes to your family!

I strive to provide unique and individualized service to each of my clients. My hope is that by creating strong rapport my clients are able to let me know what’s working or not working for them and how to shape our relationship best that they feel prepped, ready, and successful in their birth journey!

After going back and forth on whether I can take on the extra load of work I’ve officially signed up for my Lactation Counselor training through Childbirth International!

I’m so excited to further my education and my abilities to support mothers and those who choose to breastfeed.

My hopes is to create a service in which I come to mothers homes to assist them in nursing with virtual support for in between in-person visits ✨🖤
