I have always been drawn to movement. I was a hyper kid. I took martial arts classes and they helped me focus my energy. I trained in the BUDS program in the Navy Seals and pushed myself harder than I knew possible.
Unfortunately, chronic cardio led to chronic pain, and I was honorably discharged with injuries.
I went back to college, and someone told me that the hardest physical activity I could do was ballet ... so I tried it.
I got injured again, and I couldn’t move. I was determined to stop the cycle. I spent years deeply studying anatomy and rehabilitation. I was able to continue my career as a professional ballet dancer, and eventually became a Professor of Budokon, which blends the yogic and martial arts into one fierce practice.
I have taken many fitness classes around the world, and honestly I’m not impressed at all by what I’ve seen. I’m actually deeply concerned.
Many newly trained teachers have no clue about how the body really works, let alone how to treat or modify for students with injuries. I’ve worked with so many clients that are caught in a cycle of getting injured, taking time off, gaining weight, going back to the gym, getting injured & feeling horrible for weeks that I realized these men deserve to know the truth.
They could be in better shape, shed weight effortlessly, have more energy, and avoid further injuries in less time, without ever setting a foot in the PT office or gym again.
A modern approach to fitness should be sustainable. It should be dynamic, but grounded in routine that prepares the body to heal and prevent injuries so that our activity and energy levels can be constant and reliable, while our strength and mobility just gets better with age.
I created a FREE training to share the 3 secrets my busy professional clients use to overcome their past injuries and feel 20 years younger without spending a minute in the gym.
