Yoga with Miss Valerie Yoga with Miss Valerie stands with Black Lives Matter, now and always. if you are on the mat, you are doing yoga.

It is my mission to empower you to share your best personal version of yourself and, in doing so, to allow the light within me to see, honor, and love the light within each of you. My "why" for teaching yoga comes from a desire to offer courses that are both trauma informed and trauma sensitive, and for this reason, movement in my classes is focused on being autonomous and self-directed, i.e. I have two years of experience overseas in a Montessori style environment with children from 6 months to 8 years old AND in a sexual violence center dedicated to child and adolescent survivors, two years of experience teaching swim lessons and yoga to children from 6 months to 18 years old, and twelve years of experience in higher education (including teaching college classes to students in a wide variety of ages). Additionally, I speak Spanish and am happy to offer additional assistance to bilingual students as needed.

You may have noticed that I haven't been posting lately, and that is because: new school, new house, new cat, new job...I am taking some time to pursue a second master's degree...an MSW at Fordham University while being a new cat mom to Sparkles and a Success Coach to students at WSU. If you are reading this and it has been a while since we talked, I miss you! Reach out and let me know how you are, and I will come back when I have more news and/or more yoga classes to offer!
