3 Easy ways to help prevent or reduce a flare of symptoms. 🔥
Might be back pain, urine leakage, pressure, achiness, etc.
Try these simple things each day:
1️⃣ Breathe - ya, I know, of course you are already breathing. But take a 2 min break, and practice slow diaphragmatic breathing - breathing into your abdomen. This helps calm your nervous system, resets your body, and much more.
2️⃣ Hydrate - yes, you need to drink water. Electrolytes are good too. If the only thing you drink all day is diet coke, your body can't function the way it should. Aim for about half of your body weight in ounces of water each day. Everything will feel better. And don't worry about it exacerbating your urinary symptoms. If you're not drinking enough, that's more likely to contribute to your symptoms than drinking the recommended amount.
3️⃣ Move - it doesn't matter how you move, just do it. Walk, stretch, dance, yoga, bike...it all counts. Preferably do something that moves all your joint through their full range of motion.
