When it comes to stroke care, minutes matter.
Recently, our team achieved an exceptional milestone: Tenecteplase was administered just 15 minutes after arrival — far ahead of our 45-minute goal for eligible stroke patients and the national guideline of 60 minutes. That kind of speed takes seamless coordination across the ED, imaging, pharmacy, nursing and our stroke team.
Wesley Healthcare Stroke Program Director Mohammed Hussain, MD, left, and Stroke Coordinator Brandon Cowling, BSN, RN, far right, recognized Brent Rockley, MD, with an award for this standout performance. As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Wesley Healthcare provides advanced, life-saving stroke care, and can manage even the most serious and complex conditions.
Tenecteplase is a clot-busting medication used for certain types of strokes to help restore blood flow to the brain — and rapid treatment can make a meaningful difference. At Wesley, our goal is to always exceed expectations. This is excellence in action: prepared teams, proven processes and quick decisions — when every second counts.
