Introducing Kate — the latest addition to our therapist team!

Kate is a licensed professional counselor with years of experience in reproductive mental health.

Learn a little more about therapy with Kate:
“Therapy with me is much more relaxed. Through the course of our sessions, there may be some tears, often there is laughter… And sometimes even the occasional awkward silences! But overall, it should feel a bit like a weekly meeting with that one friend who really cares about you and is really good at helping you sort out your stuff.”

Join us in saying “Welcome, Kate, so glad to have you!” 💚

Q***r family building doesn’t have to feel so . . . isolating.

AWHONN stands by our position that comprehensive, high-quality perinatal care should be accessible to all pregnant and postpartum women, including those who are incarcerated, and that care must be aligned with professional standards rather than carceral practice. Recent reporting highlights serious concerns about the treatment of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing individuals in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, including judges decrying conditions and uncertainty over whether long-standing protections remain in force. 💬 Comment TAX 2025 and we’ll send you a direct message with a link to our Stillbirth Tax Credits and Deductions page for more information. Please note that this information is as up to date as possible, but if you notice errors, please let us know.

⭐️ If you live in one of the states that offers a stillbirth tax credit or deduction and lost your baby to stillbirth in 2025, this is a gentle reminder to file. We are so deeply sorry this applies to you. Our hope is that this financial support can ease at least a small part of the burden during an incredibly painful time.

🫂 If your state does not currently offer this support, we know that can feel frustrating and unfair. Please send us a message if you’d like to learn how to advocate for similar legislation in your state. Many of these policies exist today because families chose to speak up so others would be supported in the future.

Thank you to the families and advocates who have worked to make these credits and deductions possible. 🤍
