Heart & Soul Hospice offers a range of hospice services to you and your loved one, including coordinated care between your physician, nursing, social services, grief and bereavement support. Heart & Soul Hospice’s goal is to help patients and their families enjoy the time they have left. Heart & Soul Hospice is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization and a proud member of the Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America family. Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America has been providing quality senior services guided by Christian values for more than 65 years in Kansas and Missouri.

EXCITING NEWS: Melissa Simon has been named the interim administrator for Wichita Heart & Soul Hospice. 🎉 Melissa joined the Wichita Heart & Soul team in December 2022 as the clinical services director. She has previously held a few administrator and leadership positions but more recently was at Traditions Health and HealthBack Home Health. She has been a licensed Registered Nurse since 2005.

We are excited to welcome Caitlyn Ulbrich, RN, to our Heart & Soul Hospice team. 👏Caitlyn joined PMMA after working for Wichita's major hospitals in the surgery department as a circulating nurse. She received her RN degree from Hutchinson Community College. 🩺

Caitlyn enjoys singing with her patients, hiking, spending time with her nephew and family. 🤗 Please help us in welcoming her to our team.

We are excited to announce that Melissa Simon has joined the Heart & Soul Hospice team as our Clinical Coordinator. 👏 Melissa is a registered nurse and has extensive experience in the hospice field. 🩺 In addition to having served on the Peer Review Board at a major hospital in Wichita, she has been secretary of the Hutchinson Area Nurses Association. Melissa is a member of the Kansas Home Care and Hospice Association (KHCHA).

Hospice care is appropriate any time after a doctor has estimated that a patient has six months or less left to live, and both doctor and patient have decided to move from active curative treatment to a regimen more focused on quality of life.

The prognosis might mean the person has several months of rich, full life in front of them or just a few days. Hospice care can help anyone on that spectrum with a full range of direct care, emotional and spiritual support, advice, and information. We can also help friends and family of patients through the periods before and after the end of life.
