Access matters when patients and families are coming to the hospital for care. Today, Wesley Medical Center took an important step toward improving that experience with the ceremonial groundbreaking of a new parking garage designed to make arriving on campus easier, safer, and more welcoming.
The nearly 50-year-old garage next to the Medical Arts Tower is being carefully demolished by an expert team to ensure safety and precision as we prepare for what’s next. When complete, this $65 million investment will significantly enhance how patients and visitors access our hospital, delivering:
✔️ 1,359 parking spaces — 466 more than today
✔️ 20 dedicated motorcycle spaces
✔️ A new atrium lobby and main hospital entrance, creating a clearer, more accessible path into the hospital from both the garage and Hillside Street
While construction will take approximately 18 months and require temporary adjustments to traffic and parking, the long-term impact is meaningful: a more accessible, modern campus that better supports patients, families, and the care teams who serve them.
This project reflects our commitment to continuously investing in the patient experience — removing barriers, improving access, and ensuring our campus meets the needs of the community today and into the future.
