Choosing Wesley Healthcare means choosing a hospital with statistically better patient outcomes. According to Healthgrades, patients treated at America’s Best Hospitals have a lower risk of mortality and are less likely to experience in-hospital complications. In fact, if all hospitals performed at this level, more than 210,000 lives could have been saved!

That’s why excellence is not just our goal — it’s our standard.

We are proud to share that Wesley Healthcare has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2026, earning this distinction for the third consecutive year and placing us in the top 2% nationwide for clinical performance. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4q1jbIJ

There’s almost no better medicine than a smile — and our patients light up every time Rosie the Rabbiter - Rosie's Snuggle Bunnies Inc hop through the doors. 🐰💙

Recently, Nancy Bradfield and Flemish Giant rabbit Pvt. Radar O'Smiley stopped by Wesley Children’s Hospital to spread comfort, joy and a whole lot of cheer to our littlest patients. Rosie’s Snuggle Bunnies is a veteran-founded nonprofit dedicated to providing stress relief and emotional support through animal-assisted interactions — and they’ve been proudly serving our hospital since 2020.

Moments like these reflect the heart of our care: compassion, connection and partnerships that make a meaningful difference in the healing journey of children and families.

Thank you, Rosie’s Snuggle Bunnies, for the joy you bring and the impact you continue to make. 💙

At Wesley Healthcare, we believe excellence extends beyond our walls. By recognizing devoted leaders and organizations who create lasting, life-changing impact, we shine a light on the strength, resilience and hope within our community.

Today, colleagues from Wesley proudly attended the 10th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Heroes and Sheroes Scholarship Awards Breakfast, standing alongside community members to honor those who embody Dr. King’s dream through service, leadership and compassion.

This meaningful celebration uplifted Wichita’s MLK Heroes and Sheroes, filled the room with beloved spirituals and reinforced the power of music, unity and purpose — values Dr. King held close. We also were honored to support the next generation by celebrating the presentation of the Dr. Evies Cranford-ARISE Rising Star Recurring Scholarship to a deserving local student, reinforcing the importance education and opportunity for our youth.

We are grateful to stand with partners like ARISE Ensemble and remain committed to advancing equity, compassion, and care — today and every day. To learn more about Wesley's community impact, visit https://bit.ly/4sOQ1zc

There are more than 65,000 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) practicing across the United States – each playing a vital role in patient care. During CRNA Week, Wesley Healthcare joins our broader HCA Healthcare network in celebrating the CRNAs who care for our patients with expertise, compassion and dedication.

CRNAs are valued partners throughout the surgical journey, fostering a relationship of trust and safety with patients. These skilled team members educate patients before and after anesthesia, assist with its administration and interpret vital signs throughout the procedure.

To our dedicated CRNAs, thank you for your and the exceptional care you provide each day. Your clinical skill and commitment to safety help ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

When a 2-year-old chimpanzee at the Sedgwick County Zoo was injured, Wesley Healthcare colleagues stepped up without hesitation. A specialty surgical team volunteered their time and expertise to perform a complex procedure at the zoo’s animal hospital — because that’s what we do.

The young chimp, Alizeti, required a toe amputation and reconstructive foot surgery. Thanks to the skill and collaboration of our team and zoo experts, she is expected to heal well and retain full use of her foot.

We also donated critical supplies to support the procedure, reflecting the expertise, compassion and community commitment that define our organization. We’re proud to deliver exceptional care — wherever it’s needed.

👏 Thank you to Zach Hanson, MD; Matthew Louis, MD; Chad Corrigan, MD; Emily McKenna, RN; and scrub tech April Gulley for going above and beyond.

This winter, we were thrilled to welcome Faith McManus, the 2026 Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas, to Wesley Children’s Hospital! Faith’s vibrant energy and beautiful smile brought much-needed joy to our young patients, lifting their spirits and spreading warmth throughout the season.

As a leader in the Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas pageant, Faith exemplifies the dedication, grace and strength that inspire young women involved in equestrian activities and beyond. Her visit was a reminder of the power of kindness and the impact a single individual can have on a community.

Thank you, Faith, for your time, energy, and for making this season even brighter for our patients and families. 💙

Access matters when patients and families are coming to the hospital for care. Today, Wesley Medical Center took an important step toward improving that experience with the ceremonial groundbreaking of a new parking garage designed to make arriving on campus easier, safer, and more welcoming.

The nearly 50-year-old garage next to the Medical Arts Tower is being carefully demolished by an expert team to ensure safety and precision as we prepare for what’s next. When complete, this $65 million investment will significantly enhance how patients and visitors access our hospital, delivering:

✔️ 1,359 parking spaces — 466 more than today
✔️ 20 dedicated motorcycle spaces
✔️ A new atrium lobby and main hospital entrance, creating a clearer, more accessible path into the hospital from both the garage and Hillside Street

While construction will take approximately 18 months and require temporary adjustments to traffic and parking, the long-term impact is meaningful: a more accessible, modern campus that better supports patients, families, and the care teams who serve them.

This project reflects our commitment to continuously investing in the patient experience — removing barriers, improving access, and ensuring our campus meets the needs of the community today and into the future.
