In honor of National Physicians Week, Wesley Healthcare joins our broader HCA Healthcare network in celebrating the more than 44,000 active and affiliated physicians who show up for our patients and communities with skill, compassion and dedication.

To our physicians, thank you for your commitment to the care and improvement of human life! Your voice helps shape how we deliver care — strengthening clinical excellence, advancing innovation and helping our teams meet the needs of the patients we serve. Your compassion and expertise make a meaningful difference for patients — and that impact is amplified by the dedicated colleagues who support you. We are grateful for everything you do.

Together, we are moving healthcare forward – for a healthier tomorrow.

Work began in January to methodically and carefully dismantle the nearly 50-year-old public parking garage at Wesley Medical Center adjacent to the Medical Arts Tower. On Monday this week, the structure was finally demolished, and workers began hauling away the debris.

When complete, this $65 million investment will significantly enhance how patients and visitors access our hospital, delivering:
✔️ 1,359 parking spaces — 466 more than today
✔️ 20 dedicated motorcycle spaces
✔️ A new atrium lobby and main hospital entrance, creating a clearer, more accessible path into the hospital from both the garage and Hillside Street.

While construction will take approximately 18 months and require temporary adjustments to traffic and parking, the long-term impact is meaningful: a more accessible, modern campus that better supports patients, families, and the care teams who serve them.

This project reflects our commitment to continuously investing in the patient experience — removing barriers, improving access and ensuring our campus meets the needs of the community today and into the future. Check out the video from KWCH 12 News this week! https://bit.ly/4bxG0Qv

Wesley Healthcare proudly celebrates Certified Nurses Day – a day dedicated to honoring certified nurses across our broader HCA Healthcare network. These exceptional professionals set the standard by mentoring others, elevating patient care and bringing knowledge and compassion to every interaction.

"We are proud of the work we do as forensic nurses by providing compassionate care, advocacy and a voice for patients when they need it most," said Megan Meier, RN, a Wesley forensic nurse examiner who has both SANE-A and SANE-P certifications that signify expertise in sexual assault medical forensic care. "Being able to help guide patients toward healing, and to be one of the first compassionate contacts after significant trauma, is one of the most meaningful parts of forensic nursing."

To all of our certified nurses, thank you for your advanced expertise, commitment to excellence and dedication to delivering the highest quality of care to every patient. Your impact is felt across our network and in every life you touch.

Every birth story is unique.🤰 For some moms, it may involve cesarean delivery, also known as a C-section. Doctors perform this major abdominal surgery for a variety of reasons, often related to complications during pregnancy or delivery. If you’re expecting a baby, it’s important to understand the risks and benefits of the procedure. For example, having a C-section increases the chance that you will need a C-section for future deliveries.

Each year, more than 200,000 babies are born in hospitals across our broader HCA Healthcare network. If you’re expecting and exploring your birth options — including when a C-section might be recommended — finding the right obstetrician is an important first step. Meet our experts and schedule an appointment: https://www.wesleymc.com/physicians

As a proud partner of March of Dimes, HCA Healthcare is committed to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through clinical data, pioneering research and compassionate care. Learn more about C-sections from March of Dimes: https://bit.ly/3OSqqWL
