Our latest news
Let’s talk—because February came in loud, meaningful, and a little bit “okay… I hear you, God.”
First things first: ReSet SOLD OUT, and we had an AMAZING night. Not because it was trendy. But because people are tired. Capital T. And apparently, collectively tired. Folks didn’t come to be impressed—they came to exhale. And honestly? We all needed it because pausing is not lazy, and resting is not rebellion. It’s wisdom. And still… one reset won’t undo years of doing the most. So we decided to make this a quarterly ReSet for 2026.
In April, we’re staying in the ReSet lane, but this time we’re resetting the body.
That means food and movement—but let me be clear before anybody panics, this isn't about diet shaming, or “summer body” foolishness. We won't be suffering for the sake of suffering. This is about learning how to fuel instead of fight your body and move without punishment. Because some of us aren’t out of shape—we’re just out of rhythm. There’s a difference.
February also asked us to put some respect on Black history. And whew—if our bodies could talk, they’d have stories. A lot of what we deal with today didn’t start with us. Knowing that isn’t about living in the past—it’s about making smarter, more empowered choices right now.
Which brings me to Heart to Heart.
Heart health is not just about numbers on a chart. It’s about stress that never clocked out. Grief we didn’t process because “people needed us.” Burnout we called purpose. And strength that cost more than we admit. So yes we’re talking about hearts this month. Real talk. Real education. Real care. Because loving the community also means loving the body you live in.
Here’s the takeaway—no long sermon, I promise. Resetting is not quitting. Resetting is leadership. If your body has been dropping hints—fatigue, tension, random aches, or that deep sigh you didn’t even know you made—it might be time to listen instead of push through. April is coming. We’re going to eat well. We’re going to move wisely. And we’re going to keep choosing health without guilt.
I’m glad you’re here.
I’m glad we’re doing this together.

Black History in Medicine: Innovation Under Pressure
Black History Month isn’t just about celebrating names—it’s about acknowledging systems, sacrifices, and breakthroughs that still shape our health today.
One example: Dr. Charles Drew, whose work on blood storage and transfusions saved countless lives—yet whose contributions were undervalued in his lifetime. His story reminds us that Black medical innovation often happened in spite of barriers, not because of access.
Why this matters now:
*Mistrust in healthcare didn’t appear out of nowhere
*Health disparities are rooted in history, not personal failure
*Representation and advocacy still save lives
Knowing the past sharpens how we move forward—especially when we talk about prevention, access, and care today.
February Heart to Heart: More Than a Checkup
Heart health is personal. It’s emotional. It’s generational.
Our Heart to Heart focus this month goes beyond numbers and screenings. We’re naming the stress, grief, overwork, and silence that impact Black hearts—especially Black women’s hearts.
We’re asking better questions:
What does chronic stress do to the body over time?
How does unprocessed emotion show up physically?
What does heart care look like when faith, food, movement, and rest work together?
This is about education + awareness + action—because love for the community must include care for the body.
