Hi everyone! Wanted to share to start guaging any interest in the group therapy options listed here. 😊

I find so much value in group therapy, and have been lucky enough to have facilitated Moms groups in the past. My hope is to continue with a range of groups that can serve those who need them. With that being said, I wanted to provide a few options to feel out what our community may have the most interest in.

Groups would meet once a week or every other week, with a total of 8-12 sessions (the variations are dependent on specific group needs/accomodations). The group fee is $45/session. If you’d like to attend a group but are financially unable to pay the $45 fee, I am open to discussing a sliding-scale fee. 🙂

If you are potentially interested, please complete the form at the link below! Each group is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

Parents - you should hear this!

If you struggle with overstimulation in parenting, this is such a meaningful episode with practical insights into how you can repair with your child after “losing it”.

Yelling doesn’t “break” your child, however- a consistent lack of repair might.

So... as you may have noticed by now, I'm not a social media pro. Nor do I care to be 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don't care to ever have a large following, and I really don't feel like most people come to social media to find their next therapist anyways.

HOWEVER - I am passionate about sharing information that may help others feel seen, validated in their experiences, help them to identify what is normal vs when to seek help, and so on.

With that, I'm here to ask what you guys would like to see next? I'll share a few categories based around my primary focuses. Place your votes!

♥️ #1 - Breaking down common relationship struggles

🧐 #2 - S e x Therapy… what is it?

👶🏼 #3 - What can I really expect in the perinatal period?

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 #4 - How to help yourself be a more coregulated & intentional parent

What is flooding? Flooding is what happens when our brain and body decide that something we just experienced was a threat. This is usually subconscious, happens instantly, and is our brains way of “protecting us” from the perceived threat. However, emotional flooding can be devastating in our intimate relationships. When we go into this state of mind, we simply CAN NOT function properly in an emotional conversation. For some, this may be shown by shutting down to avoid the feelings coming up in an attempt to avoid any additional conflict. For others, it may present as an intense defensiveness against the topic of discussion or whatever the brain has perceived as the “threat”.

Flooding is not always avoidable, but there are many ways that we can learn to manage and regulate it when it does arise, so that we do not allow it to be in control of our responses.

How can we manage flooding once we have recognized it? I’ll discuss more in Pt.2!

Love these! Connecting with your child doesn’t always need to be a grand gesture or going to do a big activity. It really IS this simple.

So excited for this event, and hopeful to get another "mom's group" together soon! 🩷
